Afeef: "If not for Narine, SLK would've crossed 200 easily"
8:42pm A solid batting effort by the Kings, given they were bundled out for 100 just a couple of nights ago. Charles set the tone at the top, with captain du Plessis following suit soon after. There was a brief slow-down through the middle but the partnership between Chase and Rajapaksa laid the foundation. Chase batted till the end and his presence, coupled with cameos from Seifert and Forde, helped the Kings ransack 59 off the final five.
The Knight Riders, considering they inserted the Kings in, will be slightly disappointed with how many they have shipped. Their catching was a little sub-standard too and none of their bowlers, barring Narine, bowled consistently throughout. They have the batting firepower to still get the job done, although they might just be the unhappier of the two sides at the break. Join us in a bit for the chase!
Johnson Charles: (On how much he enjoyed his knock) I don't think I stayed long enough to enjoy it. Going forward, just looking to capitalize and putting my team in a better position. (On the pitch) There has been a lot of moisture around so for the spinners, it is a little tacky and holding up. We can make use of that but apart from that, it is coming on nicely. I think it is a pretty good total if we can stick to our lines (and lengths) and if our bowlers bowl smartly.
