So back-to-back wins for Falcons takes them up to No. 3 on the points table, even as Patriots sit right at the bottom of the table after five losses in a row. With this, we wrap up our coverage of CPL this weekend, with the action continuing only on Tuesday night. Until then, it is goodbye!
ICYMI: Patriots' Rutherford will miss the rest of CPL 2024 for personal reasons
Chris Green: "We like winning in the last over! I would like to credit this group... we have been having a lot of fun. You look at our last game, when Springer and Primus got us over the line. Today, we saw how the wicket played was very conducive to spin. Fabian Allen is a great player - he wants to stand up with bat and ball in big moments. Hasaranga is a world-class player! On a wicket like that, he is tough to get through."
Andre Fletcher: "It was a difficult wicket to start with. They pegged us back early. But the way Hasaranga and Louis fought back, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Once you control the powerplay, you can peg them back... I'm still looking for answers! I just said to Mikyle Louis to be confident: just go out there and feel free... he did that, and showed he can play in any situation. I must say thanks [to the crowd]. We disappointed them. I would like to apologise for not giving them a win on home soil."
Imad Wasim is the Player of the Match: "These wickets suit me. But the thing is to stay in. My number (batting position) is really good. It was a great toss to win... last five overs, you need to bowl how the wicket is demanding. I think 153 was a good total. The clarification of the role is very important. The good thing about T20 is stick to your basics."
Time for the presentations
1.43pm A chase of three parts here. During the first one, King and Greaves bashed 55 off 26 balls in the opening partnership. That is when came a twist, as Hasaranga took four wickets and reduced Patriots to 110 for 7 to start the 16th over. He finished with 4 for 16 in four overs - 16 of those 24 balls were dots - but it was in the 16th over itself that Primus counter-swept and began the fightback. Eventually, though, Falcons required Allen to hack a four and a six in the final over to complete the win. Hang around for the presentations.
A chat between Fletcher and Drakes...
Drakes will bowl the final over. Falcons need 11, with Allen on strike.
