8:47pm Wow, what a finish. 72 runs came off the final five overs and that has propelled the Warriors to 167 - a score they will feel they can defend. That said, they might not be very happy with how the first 15 overs panned out. Ayub struggled (for a change), as did Hope. They also left their onslaught late, despite the firepower at their disposal, amplified by Shepherd just facing four balls and Smith not batting at all.

The Kings, meanwhile, would be ruing a missed opportunity. Having kept the Warriors to 95 in 15 overs, they could have easily restricted them to a sub-150 total. Now, they have a bit more work to do with the bat, although with the resources at their disposal, they will be hopeful of getting the job done.

With both teams feeling they are in with a shout, this game is on a knife-edge (sorry for stating the obvious). That means a cracking second innings awaits, which will bring to you very shortly!

Matthew Forde: For me, Guyana is an up-and-down wicket and I was trying to keep it as simple as possible. (On the wicket of Hope) The captain called upon me for a breakthrough and luckily it went to plan. (On what he did during his time away from the game) That was the hardest time of my life. But it was also the hardest I ever worked in the gym. It is about staying fit and being out on the park. (On the score) I think Guyana picked up a bit of momentum towards the end but I am backing my guys to get it done. It is a little tricky (the pitch). Getting set is the key. Runs came easier at the back end.

Joseph to Shepherd, 1 bye, sharp bumper outside off stump to finish off. Shepherd nearly swings himself off his feet but cannot get any bat on it. Hetmyer is alert enough to sneak in a bye but that is all they are going to get!

Joseph to Shepherd, FOUR, four more! Low full toss just outside off. Shepherd is camping deep in his crease and gets enough muscle behind it to beat long on to his left!

Joseph to Shepherd, SIX, in the arc, and out of the park! Goes for the yorker. Misses it. And gets met. Absolutely met. Shepherd lays back, swings through the line and smokes it over long off!
