There was a bit of drizzle and covers were on for a short while in the innings break but we are just about to get underway as the openers step out on the field.
Handy cameos from Raza and fantastic contributions from Charles, Williams and Faf du Plessis lift Saint Lucia Kings to a par total of 201. The intentions were clear right from the word go. Charles set the stage on fire in the powerplay and the intensity didn't drop as Faf du Plessis was severe on the bowlers, belting the spinners out of the park. Thereon, Williams was firing on all cylinders before getting outfoxed by Qais but enough damage was done by then. Kings will be quite happy with that score on a pitch where the ball isn't coming nicely onto the bat and the slower ones are doing the trick - the outfield is also slow. Royals were a bit ragged in the fielding in the last 10 overs and dropped a few sitters which may cost them if this game goes down to the wire. Holder was fantastic though, he took his second-best figures in CPL and was spot on with his bag of tricks
