9.40 pm Bad news everyone. We've got a washout for the second night in a row. Match has been called off. Thanks for sticking with us, albeit for an undesirable outcome. Enjoy the day off tomorrow. Come back Wednesday for another CPL doubleheader when we switch islands to St Lucia and hopefully some better weather too. Until then, take care!
8.50 pm The issues with the bowler's run-up is serious enough that the next inspection is scheduled for 9.30 pm local time. So no play for at least another hour from the looks of it.
8.40 pm Still no update about a toss and/or start time, but the teams are starting to warm up on the outfield. The umpires are a little concerned about a large damp spot in the path of the bowler's run-up at one end, which is getting heavy sawdust treatment.
8.25 pm Umpires will be inspecting the field at 8.30 pm. So five minutes from now.
7.52 pm The rain has stopped and the covers are being peeled back now. Game needs to begin by 8.09 local time to have a full match otherwise the officials will start peeling off overs and there's been no word on a toss even. But a reduced match is looking more and more promising from the latest signs at Warner Park.
7.45 pm The Women's CPL Final trophy presentation has just been completed indoors. It's the best indication that it's still raining and we're some ways away from the men's match starting tonight.
6.55 pm Bad news everyone. We're going to have a delayed start again. And not because of the spillover from the Women's CPL Final. The rain is back and hammering down over Warner Park once again.
6.25 pm Hello and welcome back to another night of CPL 2022 action as the Guyana Amazon Warriors take on the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. We may have a delayed start though, not due to rain like last night but rather because the Women's CPL Final has just concluded with Trinbago Knight Riders prevailing in a last-over thriller against Barbados Royals.
