7.02 pm All the focus will be on the Tridents appalling start to the innings which saw them 27 for 8 in 12 overs. Mitchell Santner makes 36 off 27, including 48 for the ninth wicket with Rashid Khan, to avoid the lowest total in CPL history. But they owe a major debt of gratitude to Chris Green for some incredibly defensive captaincy in the last eight overs to allow the Tridents to make it to the final ball of the innings. Not only did the Amazon Warriors take their foot of the throat of the Tridents, but the Warriors performed CPR and then offered them an oxygen mask on top of it to make sure the Tridents actually have a chance, albeit very remote, to defend this. With Rashid Khan, Hayden Walsh Jr and Mitchell Santner in the bowling lineup, you never know....

Shepherd to Santner, 2 runs, OUT, full and wide, sliced out to deep third man, Walsh Jr is busting it coming back for a third run. The relay is wild 10 yards wide of Pooran but Santner looks like he wanted to keep his clean record of not outs in CPL 2020. I guess he hasn't learned his lesson from the 2019 World Cup Final after all. There was a definitely third there and Walsh Jr made it to the striker's end easily. Santner only started running for the third after he saw the throw sail wide of Pooran. The backup at short midwicket by Sinclair is alert and he fires to Shepherd over the non-striker's stumps to beat Santner's dive by a yard to deny the third.

Isaac Marshall: "Hayden Walsh Jr is a very good batsman. Down at 11 is just an aberration, he's usually a number 7/8 finisher." Used to bat as high as No. 5 in his brief international career for USA before switching to West Indies maroon.

Naveen-ul-Haq to Rashid Khan, OUT, caught at deep cover. Naveen wins the battle of the Afghans! Fullish length ball on off, Rashid tried to drive this over the rope but Sinclair runs 20 yards right and dives along the rope to take it. Wouldn't have been six, but possibly four if Sinclair couldn't reach it. Like Hetmyer earlier, did brilliant work covering the distance to make the sliding effort possible.
