4.05 pm One of the most unusual innings you'll see in T20 cricket as Phillips was striking at under a run a ball for the first 40+ deliveries but makes up for it in a big way by striking five sixes in the last four overs to complete a major surge ending the innings with a flourish for the Tallawahs. The drop by Nick Kelly at deep midwicket on the last ball of the 13th over when Phillips was on 27 takes on even greater significance now. Will 147 be enough though to paper over so many other cracks in this batting order? It's hard to bet against Mujeeb and Lamichhane in this tournament. We'll find out beginning in about 10 minutes as Matt Roller takes over for the start of the chase.

Emrit to Phillips, 1 leg bye, attempted yorker on the pads, misses a flick trying to heave this over midwicket, the ball clips the pads and goes to short fine leg as Permaul calls Phillips through for a leg bye.

HarryFD: "Don't really understand the hate for Phillips he's been one of the best batsmen in the CPL for the last 3 years, sure he's struggled today but on the other side of the coin he is actually still in which is an improvement on the other Tallawahs. "

Emrit to Phillips, FOUR, length ball on sixth stump, Phillips heaves for midwicket and an inside edge speeds through square leg beating deep midwicket to the rope as Phillips collapses dramatically to the turf once again.

Emrit to Phillips, no run, length ball wide outside off, almost outside the guidelines, toe-slapped back to Emrit. Phillips collapses on the turf afterward, still struggling from the previous ball. Looks more like cramp than anything else.

Emrit to Phillips, 2 runs, wide yorker, scuffs this out wide of long-on and they scamper a sharp pair. Phillips is limping after completing the second run.

Emrit to Phillips, SIX, attempted yorker, doesn't pitch though and Phillips muscles this ankle high full toss on middle high over Cottrell at long-on. Cleared the rope by 5 yards. Thought it came more off the toe of the bat but that is impressive by Phillips.

Cottrell to Walton, OUT, Walton's nightmare tourney continues. Walton premeditated a scoop shot walking far outside off stump to try to clear fine leg, but Cottrell sees this and sends a yorker full and straight on middle and Walton can't get anything on it. At least there was some intent there, unlike the Brathwaite dismissal. Walton was just beaten by a clever adjustment from Cottrell.

Emrit to Brathwaite, OUT, full length on middle stump, no footwork from Brathwaite, just a limp prod forward with his hands at a time in the innings when every ball should be swinging for the fences. Would've looked better if he had swung wildly and the ball hit the stumps. Instead it's one of the most timid dismissals you'll see this tournament as the ball goes between bat and pad to crash into middle and leg.

Emrit to Powell, OUT, cutter on off, tries to flick this through fine leg but instead it balloons high off a top edge and sails to deep backward square. Jaggesar covers 20 yards charging right and takes a good catch settling himself at the last moment while reaching forward at waist height, claiming it 10 yards inside the rope.

Cottrell to Phillips, SIX, another cutter pitching outside leg that doesn't fool Phillips, heaves this flat over long-on and what do you know, he's brought up his 50 at better than a run a ball. Still the slowest in CPL 2020 off 47 balls.

Cottrell switches to over the stumps.

Cottrell to Phillips, SIX, cutter lands too short on fifth stump, Phillips hangs back and clatters this high over wide long-on. All of a sudden he's found his rhythm.

Cottrell to Phillips, no run, Phillips stands wide outside leg stump, then premeditates a reverse hit but misses as Cottrell outsmarts him with a cutter on a good length wide outside off.
