1.37pm The match will resume in six minutes. The target for the Zouks is 47 in five overs. Two overs of powerplay. A bowler can bowl a maximum of two overs.

Ali Moosavi: "I don't get it, if game will start within 13 minutes they can play for next two hours? Obviously weather permitting. But please elaborate what is this 13? " -- There is another match scheduled as well today

1.30pm If it doesn't start in next 13 minutes, that will be that.

Alok Ranjan: "Talking about best Yorkers I have witnessed is Fizz getting all over Dreruss in the IPL. Russel was on the ground and stumps had gone for a walk"

1.22pm The umpires are chatting with Sammy now. The hessian is coming off the pitch now, and the ground is completely uncovered. Still seems to be some drizzle about, though. Umpires still carrying umbrellas.

Sam B: "Archer to Soumya Sarkar, where the bail went all the way for SIX (or the "bail became Gayle"), was in an ODI unfortunately. Speaking of Archer, hope to see him play for the Tridents one day."

Sooryanarayanan: "@Davo, and that delivery was bowled coincidentally on the anniversary of Warne's ball of the century"

Mudassar Shaik: "Talking about the Ball of the century, Ashwin vs Amla in the T20 WC!! Unplayable!! "

Sooryanarayanan: "Why do I feel that the Starc delivery to Vince is overrated? It deviated off a crack that one."

1.15pm The umpires are chatting with Jason Holder and Mitchell Santner now. The covers are starting to go off.

Kevin : "Ball of the century,I dunno. But this Jerome Taylor searing yorker out of nowhere to castle an impervious Steve Smith on 199 is one of my favorite" -- An inswinging yorker at 140.3 to have Smith lbw

Davo: "I'm surprised there's no mention of Devendra Bishoo's ripping leg spinner to Brad Haddin in a test in the Caribbean. It spun from about 12inches or so outside leg stump and hit the top of off!"

Nilashish: "How about Harris to Cook at Perth in 2013?? Ripper of a delivery!!!" -- And it was the first ball of the innings - a collector's item

Shantanu: "Organisers know well about the weather, and the whole tournament will be played at 2 venues only. I don't think it was too difficult to arrange covers for the whole outfield and some super soppers as well."

Sumon: "Have anyone here seen or remember Enamul Jr uprooting M Clarke's off stump from around the wicket in Chittagong Test? Surely gotta be a candidate!" -- That was in Fatullah, not Chittagong, I think

Matt: "Great memory! Ian Gould was the ump - it was before the days of DRS as well. Remarkable stuff at Steyn's speeds."

1.00pm We are 43 minutes away from the match being reduced to a five-over chase.

Matt: "The best ball this century to NOT take a wicket is undoubtedly Dale Steyn to Bhajji at Newlands. Google it ;)" -- I remember that! The ball clipped the off stump but the bails didn't dislodge. There was huge appeal for the caught-behind as everyone thought the sound was from the outside edge. It was brilliant decision by the on-field umpire who ruled it not-out. The South Africa players from the dressing room then gestured to their aghast team-mates in the middle what had actually happened.

Dylan Sharma: "Drainage isn't particularly good or bad at Tarouba. However, there is still a light mizzle about and the skies are still grey in some areas."

Karan Takkar: "No, I mean Jones to Clarke only." Ah, the shouldering of the arms!

dibyajyoti chou: "How is the drainage facility of the ground? " -- I am not really aware about that.

Karan Takkar: "Simon Jones to Michael Clarke 2005 Ashes, surprised no one has mentioned that one still " -- Do you by any chance mean Harmison to Clarke?

Suprabh Snehi: "Certainly best debut ball - Bhuvi's debut ball to Hafeez!" -- The was a beautiful inswinger, Hafeez shouldered his arms if I remember correctly.

12:45pm Groundstaff on the field now, starting to mop up the covers. There doesn't seem to be a Super Sopper at this ground, though. Some manual foam rollers being used apart from mops etc.

Shehroz Ahmed: "Mitchell start to James Vince! Have never seen such a delivery EVER" -- "This ball is ranked 17th in a list of 20, but it might be No. 1 if the rankings were wholly based on unplayability" is what my co-commentator Karthik Krishnaswamy wrote about it.

Danhy: "Shoaib to Tendulkar and Dravid double! Come on!" -- The crowd-silencing yorkers but unfortunately from the last century

Anshul anand: "Rabada to Russell in super over." -- Sid Monga wrote about that Super Over here

Sam: "A certain Sachin Tendulkar bamboozling Moin Khan on the last ball of the day in Pakistan "

Muhammad Shafi: " where is the full list of the Ball of the 21st Century." -- Here you go (we are doing a count down)

12.35pm The umpires are walking around with the umbrellas, checking the outfield... I assume an inspection is around the corner

zain: "ball of this century.. Mohammed asif to VVS/ Sehwag MUST make the list. "

Aquib: "Why no entry for Rashid vs Kohli?"

Harsha: "Sreesanth's bumper to dismiss Kallis in Durban Test of 2010 is a candidate too" -- As I said, that's bouncer a fast bowler dreams of bowling

Suhaib : "Mustafizur Rahman to Andre Russell in IPL."

Vib RayaaL: "Not Test but yeah, M. Starc to B. Stokes, 2019 World Cup."

Varun: "Ishant Sharma to Ricky Ponting " -- That whole spell should be a contender for the Spell of the Century

ayaz khan: "Yasir Shah to Ballance at Lords"

Nakul Pande: "Balls of this century: Shami breaking Cook's stump at Vizag, Bumrah's outswinging yorker to Holder at Sabina, Anderson to Clarke in the 2013 Ashes."

Maaz: "Mo. Abbas to Ben stokes in the 1st test. Outclassed him. #PakvsEng"

Chaitu Reddy: "How about that Ashwin's legbreak to Hash Amla??"

Saurabh Ganguly: "S Sreesanth to Jacques Kallis, Johannesburg Test" -- The dream bouncer

ribhu deo: "Ball of the century- Warnie to Andrew Strauss #Ashes2005"

Ashish Mehra: "I remember Jayant yadav bowling a ripper in one of the matches he played. Don't remember the batsman."

Harsha: "Irfan Pathan's hat-trick ball to dismiss Mohammad Yousuf should be a contender" -- Ah, leaving Pakistan 0 for 3 in the first over before they bounced back to win the Test

Harsha: "Ball of 21st century, may not win it, but did not get enough praise; Abbas to Stokes in the 1st Test" -- Didn't get enough praise?! Osman Samiuddin wrote a full piece on that one ball

12.20pm Rain seems to have stopped now, but lots of water on the covers, and only the square and run-ups are covered.

Ajay Dhanak: "That Delivery to Laxman cannot be counted in this list (No matter how eye catching that is) because there was an inside edge. I suppose we can replace it with Murali delivery to Indian southpaw S Ramesh (quite reverse to Warnie's ball of the Century) "

ribhu deo: "Test matches in New Zealand and Australia invariably made me an early morning person."

Sam : "Any chances the delivery bowled by a young Srinath in 1992 World Cup bamboozling Keith Arthurton can make the cut? A Polite inquiry. " -- Brilliant swinging delivery that but it was in 1991 in Perth and we are considering deliveries from 2000 onwards

Abhishek Bhagav: "Ball of of the 21st century - Bumrah to Shaun Marsh, Melbourne. Last ball before lunch, slower ball dipping yorker to get Marsh LBW and the look of bewilderment on his face!!"

Sooryanarayanan: "Ryan Harris to Alastair Cook in the 2013-14 Ashes. #Peach"

Dylan Sharma: "10:30 AM start for England Tests are great and all but that's 5:30 AM in Trinidad. Guess i gotta change my alarm. Oh the things we do for cricket."

Gulshan kumar with his entry for the Ball of the Century: "Kuldeep Yadav to Babar Azam " -- I assume you mean the one from the 2019 World Cup (although we restricted ourselves to Test cricket)

12.10pm Rain seems to have lightened but there are some wet patches on the outfield.

Some strong views by Rakesh Sampat: "I fail to understand why most people crib about rain. Rain is a natural element and the game of cricket has evolved with weather disruptions and it greatly adds to the uncertainity & allure of the game when equations change because of weather and also in tests it gives a chance to a battling team to salvage a draw. Just accept rain as a integral part of the game instead of trying to build weather proof stadiums and such weird thoughts "

According to you guys, what are the top three balls of the last 20 years?

While we wait for the rain to go away, head over here as we count down to the Ball of the 21st Century. So far we have these four:

No. 20: Monty Panesar to Sachin Tendulkar

No. 19: Jason Krejza to VVS Laxman

No. 18: Steve Harmison to Michael Clarke

No. 17: Mitchell Starc to James Vince

Usayd: "Rainy day thoughts - if only covered stadiums were standard across the world - and there was the appropriate money to built it. SIGH..."

12.00pm It's still raining out there

Faizan Tanvir: "Ugh.. I have been spending more time on espncricinfo than on my tv from a week or so. First, the Pak vs Eng test and now CPL. Good that there would be no bad light problems here." -- By the way, they have revised the playing conditions for the third Test. Play can begin half an hour early if time has been lost earlier in the match to rain or bad light.

chandra: "It is almost 2 am in Australia. i am following Cricinfo . And suddenly rain intrupt the match. Now i can not sleep as well ! time for coffee to keep myself awake ! "

11.45am It's absolutely pelting down now

Dylan Sharma: "It's gotten surpringly dark all round the southern area of Trinidad. Came out of nowhere actually. But the forecast did show some afternoon rains though being a local the weather changes drastically in no time."

Inder: "The BiG question. When do we start losing overs or is this innings done and dusted?" -- I think it's a while before we start losing overs

11.30am And that's that. The umpires have instructed the groundstaff to bring on the covers. Big white sheets covering the whole square. The run-up area has also been covered as the dark clouds hover in the sky.
