That's it tonight from us. Come back tomorrow night for the Tallawahs' final home game at Sabina Park against St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots. For Varun Shetty and the scoring duo of Ranjith and Diamond, I'm Peter Della Penna. Bye for now.

Amazon Warriors captain Shoaib Malik: "I was just using their pace. As a bowler, when you see a lot of bounce in the pitch, you tend to bowl short and that's what I saw them using and tried to use it to my advantage. I wanted to keep using my spinners. Whoever you are playing against, just planning well and execution of plans and giving confidence to these players, I'm sure they'll do well in the coming games as well."

Tallawahs captain Chadwick Walton: "Guyana got the better of us tonight and I'm hoping tomorrow we can turn things around against St. Kitts. You have to give credit to Guyana. They paced their innings very well tonight hence 220 [sic] and that proved to be too much for us tonight. We lost key wickets at crucial times. Dre Russ tried to come in and put a good partnership with Glenn Phillips. We have four games left. We just want to win as many as we can. Our aim is to get into the playoffs."

Man of the Match Imran Tahir: "It's not a great feeling bowling to a guy like Chris Gayle but you have to have a big heart. I was upset with that full toss but in the end I backed myself and try to bowl as good as I can and finally got him. With the new ball especially I try to use my variations. I don't like guys to hit me straight and I try to get them to hit square. I stick to my plan and from the other end the other guys did really good as well and we did really well as a bowling group in the Powerplay. I just played my part around them."

11:35 pm The Amazon Warriors separate themselves from TKR to move into sole possession of first place, maintaining their remarkable undefeated run through the first half of their schedule. Once Russell fell, the collapse from the Tallawahs lower order was swift resulting in a severely lopsided result by 81 runs. Tallawahs remain on just two points, but luckily for them the Tridents and Zouks haven't done any better through the first two weeks of the season so they are still well in the hunt for the fourth playoff spot.

Qais Ahmad to Dernbach, OUT, another slog sweep finally mistimed to land in the hands of a boundary rider. Dernbach heaves this full ball from off stump high and deep but can't beat the man at cow corner. Reaches up with palms facing out to take this over his head a yard in from the rope and keeps his balance to seal the match.

Qais Ahmad to Thomas, no run, nearly a runout! spins in sharply from well outside off on a good length, Thomas goes to slog down the ground but is beaten by the turn. Pooran fumbles briefly but not enough to allow a bye. Fine leg fielded and threw at the striker's end with Thomas straying out, would've been out by three yards if it hit.
