Blake: "It's now Gayle or bust." -- I wouldn't quite say that, particularly given who his opening partner is, but yes, Patriots are really up against it if TKR get Gayle early.
Blake: "It's not really fair when the power finisher gets to bat twice" -- Ha!
7.38pm Wow. TKR were 151 for 4 after 18 overs. They've clattered 48 runs in the last two overs, with Dwayne Bravo smacking five successive sixes off Alzarri Joseph in the 19th. Until that point, it seemed as if the Patriots bowlers had kept the lid on TKR with good plans and execution - they kept hitting the short-of-good-length area, used good changes of pace, and kept cramping the batsmen for room. They only let Munro and McCullum score 78 off 63 balls. Munro and Bravo, however, added an unbroken 66 in just 20 balls. TKR truly have frightening power right through their top six. The last 10 overs brought them 130 runs as opposed to 69 in the first ten, and the last five brought them 87 runs.
DJB wanted to keep the strike for the last ball but Munro insisted they run the second.
