9.42 pm With Shane Watson's first T20 fifty in 25 innings, the team he leads has made 172 for 8. St Lucia Stars, for the longest time, did not look like they would be threatening such heights. They were barely going at a run-a-ball during the Powerplay. They could only hoof it to 71 by the halfway mark.

Those were the consequence of a fine pitch at Sabina Park - it was fast, it offered a bit of sideways movement for the new ball bowlers - but then after the shine faded it allowed the ball to come onto the bat beautifully. Basically, Watson's playground as he hit seven sixes, which was twice as many as the three fours he hit.

Problem is the Stars have won only six out of the 32 matches they have batted first in the CPL, and they've already lost scoring this many against Jamaica Tallawahs earlier this season.

Santokie to Mayers, 1 run, OUT, haves a full deloivery out to deep midwicket, they try to pinch a second, which they have to considering its the last ball. The throw comes in quickly enough and Sanga underarms it at the stumps to effect a wicket

Santokie to Shillingford, OUT, goes off the bottom of the bat and as a result there is no power in the smash down the ground. Long-on takes the catch. Shillingford is hanging back, so much that his torso is swaying back towards his stumps instead of going at the ball
