8.24pm Tallawahs tried everything they could. They tried the slower ones, they tried the yorkers and they tried the short ones. But the execution was atrocious towards the end. You could feel for them given all the rain must have made the ball hard to grip. Chris Gayle played anchor for more than three-quarters of his innings but accelerated well enough to finish with a strike rate of 130. But what really shored them up was the cameo from Mohammad Nabi. He put on 50 with Gayle, and stunningly, dominated the stand, that too at a time when Gayle was beginning to pick up steam. That's another outstanding contribution from the Afghanistan allrounder who has had an incredible tournament.
