Trinbago Knight Riders have suckerpunched St Lucia Stars. 132 was never going to be enough, and we found out why. An exhilarating display of nonchalant six-hitting from Brendon McCullum and Colin Munro has given the Knight Riders a big leap on the net-run rate front first up. Sunil Narine's off pole was flattened first ball, but since then, it was all one-way traffic.

McCullum was perhaps lucky to be reprieved early on when he wasn't given despite being pinned plumb in front by McClenaghan. That triggered an onslaught of the kind not seen before in CPL - this was the fastest a team got to 100 in the tournament's history - as they've kickstarted their campaign with a blast. These two sides will meet again on Monday with Sammy's boys having plenty to think about.

Dwayne Bravo: Happy to get over the line. We wanted to play positive, play fearless. Everything worked for us tonight. To have guys like Narine, Shadab makes my job easy. This is my first game back after eight months, happy with the way the ball is coming out. Body is feeling good. I was a little nervous to start, but I trust my medical. I'll get stronger as the tournament progresses.

Daren Sammy: Playing at home, this is not what we wanted to give the fans. Very disappointed. I told to the guys at drinks 'let this be the worst game we've played this tournament.' It's not going to be easy going forward but it's a challenge we're ready for.

Shadab Khan is the Player of the Match for his 2 for 15 "Bravo gave me and Sunil a role to bowl in the middle overs. I just bowl where the captain wants me to," he says. "My aim is to be the Player of the tournament."

McClenaghan to Munro, SIX, what power. Length on off and he brings his brute force to the fore by belting this over long-on. Tremendous use of the bottom hand. Have they cantered to victory or what? Wonder if they have a flight to catch. Daren Sammy's boys have been put out of their misery.

Taylor to Munro, 1 no ball, drilled into the stumps at the bowler's end. Raining no-balls here, another free-hit. Shocker from the umpire, the heel was an inch behind the line when he landed. Okay, correction. There were just three men inside the ring.
