- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR5.4 knocks him over with a jaffa! Full on off and this seems destined to come in with the angle. Until....it pitches and holds its line a smidgen. Ura is caught on the crease and pokes at it in hope but the slight movement takes it past the outside edge, before cannoning into the stumps. Fifth powerplay wicket for Afghanistan, and they are well in the ascendancy! 30/51.5 back of a length outside off. Vala stands tall and punches it past cover point. PNG decide late that they want the third and Vala looks like he has made it comfortably enough. But hang on...hang on...He did not drag his bat and when the ball hits the stumps at the bowler's end, his bat is actually in the air. Not the greatest bit of running, and PNG lose their skipper early in the piece! Good work by Gurbaz too. He collected the throw from the deep and then rifled it into the stumps at the other end! 12/12.1 edged and taken beautifully by Gurbaz! Length in the channel just outside off. Does not swing back in, instead going on with the angle. Siaka nibbles at it and the ball hurtles off the outside edge, almost off the shoulder of the bat. Gurbaz flies to his right and shows excellent athleticism to snare the chance with two hands. Afghanistan have their second in the powerplay! 12/22.2 proper peach, and Farooqi has two in two! Length in the channel and this decks back sharply after pitching. Bau has to play at it and can do nothing as the ball grazes the inside edge. Gurbaz flies to his right again and snaffles up another smart chance! 12/33.1 and Naveen among the wickets straightaway! Length outside off. Comes back in with Naveen's natural angle and Hiri, like he did last over, tries the expansive square drive. The inward movement does not make that stroke feasible and all he does is chop it back onto his stumps. PNG four down now, and in a lot of trouble! 17/49.4 that is catastrophic running between the wickets! Googly on a full length on middle and leg. Soper squeezes it out to the bowler's right. He takes a couple of steps down the track and his partner thinks Soper wants the single. Doriga ends up running past Soper, who has to watch in horror as Noor, who chased after the ball initially, relays it to Rashid at the bowler's end. Bails whipped off, Soper a mile short and PNG six down! 46/617.5 trapped in front, and the finger goes up! Beautifully-disguised googly that pitches on a length on middle stump. Doriga plays for the ball coming in but when it decks away, he is squared up completely. Plays down the wrong line and gets pinned on the back leg. Doriga does not even bother with the review, and that sums up how plumb it was. A useful knock, though, and PNG, courtesy of it, are within reach of a 100-plus score! 88/812.1 has Vanua been run out?! Back of a length on middle and leg. Vanua bunts it to mid on and seems to call for the single. Always looked touch-and-go, from the moment he called for it. Rashid is on his toes, swoops in and hits the stumps at the bowler's end. All eyes now on whether Vanua has made his ground. He seemed favourite to do so but his bat got stuck in the turf a centimetre outside the line. That is really unfortunate, but that is also the third run-out in this innings for PNG! 50/718.2 holes out to long on! Hard length on middle and off. Seems to hold in the surface a shade and that meddles with Nao's timing, who is looking to swat this over long on. Clinks it off the toe-end and Rashid runs in, completing the catch well inside the fence! 89/919.5 a run-out to end the innings?! Follows the batter way outside leg. Kariko, because he has no other option, swings wildly at it and misses. Kamea calls him through for a bye. That never looked in the offing and Kamea is caught short of his ground as Gurbaz throws down the stumps. That sums up PNG's innings. They finish with 95 and with four run-outs! 95/10Extras25 (lb 12, w 13)TOTAL95 all out (19.5 Overs, RR: 4.78)Fall of wickets: 1-12 (Assad Vala, 1.5 ov), 2-12 (Lega Siaka, 2.1 ov), 3-12 (Sese Bau, 2.2 ov), 4-17 (Hiri Hiri, 3.1 ov), 5-30 (Tony Ura, 5.4 ov), 6-46 (Chad Soper, 9.4 ov), 7-50 (Norman Vanua, 12.1 ov), 8-88 (Kiplin Doriga, 17.5 ov), 9-89 (Alei Nao, 18.2 ov), 10-95 (Semo Kamea, 19.5 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR2.5 timmmbbeeerrrrrr! And it is the big wicket - the one PNG would have really wanted. On a length on off, nipping back in with the angle. Gurbaz hares down the track and has an agricultural swipe across the line. Misses the ball by a mile and hears the death rattle soon after. The intent was right but the shot and the execution went awfully awry. PNG have another in the powerplay! 22/21.4 hot knife through butter! Hard length on middle stump. Shapes back in a smidgen and that does the trick for Kamea. Ibrahim walks down the track, looking to mow it over cow corner. Misses it completely and his middle stump is pegged back. First time Afghanistan's opening stand has not gotten more than 100 this T20 World Cup, and this is just what PNG would have hoped for! 8/18.4 castled! Fullish, slanting into middle and leg. Does not get up as much as Omarzai expects and the ball sneaks under his bat. In fact, on second look, that kept exceptionally low, barely getting up off the turf. Hits almost the base of leg stump, and Afghanistan lose their third! 55/3Extras12 (b 1, lb 6, w 5)TOTAL101/3 (15.1 Overs, RR: 6.65)Fall of wickets: 1-8 (Ibrahim Zadran, 1.4 ov), 2-22 (Rahmanullah Gurbaz, 2.5 ov), 3-55 (Azmatullah Omarzai, 8.4 ov)
