What a thrilling game! That brings us to the end of our coverage. There's plenty of post-match content to chew on. For starters, you can tune into our analysis show ESPNcricinfo Time:Out. Shortly, we'll also have our correspondent Sidharth Monga make sense of the madness. There's also Andrew Fidel Fernando's match bulletin that should be up soon. Don't miss out on the fun. Hope to see you join us bright and early on Wednesday for another fun day. Until then, this is Shashank Kishore saying goodbye on behalf of Karthik Krishnaswamy and our scoring colleagues Thilak Gowda and Chandan Duroah. Cheers!

10.50pm India would believe they've gotten out of jail. Bangladesh bossed their way early in the chase to set the tone, before the rain added another twist. It poured for 45 minutes or so to briefly keep the Indian fans on tenterhooks. Even when play resumed, the equation was seemingly in Bangladesh's favour. Just when it appeared as if the tournament of upsets would throw up another twist, India found their mojo.

It started with KL Rahul's direct hit to run out Litton Das, before the fielders stayed alert and took their catches and cut off key boundaries to up the pressure. Arshdeep played a massive role by picking up two crucial wickets in his comeback over. The wicket of Shakib, in particular, was a body blow to Bangladesh. Nurul Hasan kept them alive with some lusty blows, and one can only imagine what could've been if at least one more batter could've hung in there to take this deep.

Virat Kohli is Player of the Match. "Pretty close game, not as close as we would've liked it to be. It was another good day with the bat I guess, was trying to play myself into the innings. When I went in there was pressure, was watching the ball well. I'm just in a happy space, I don't want to compare anything. What's in the past is in the past. As soon as I knew the WC was in Australia, I was grinning from ear to ear. I knew good cricketing shots would be the key. I knew the kind of experience and game awareness of having played in Australia will come in handy for the team. I absolutely love playing in this ground. Right from the nets at the back, as soon as I enter, it makes me feel at home. That knock at MCG was meant to be, but when I come here, it's like I'm meant to come to Adelaide and enjoy my batting.

Rohit Sharma: I was calm and nervous at the same time, but it was important to stay calm as a group to execute. Shortened games can go either way, but we held our nerves well after the game started, it was a good win in the end. Arshdeep, when he came into the scene, we asked him to do the death overs Jon for us. With Bumrah not there, it was a tough job for someone to take up. For a young guy to come and do that kind of a job is not easy, we've pre4pared him. He's been doing it for 8-9 months. I had to back someone who had been doing it regularly, it was a choice between Shami and Arshdeep. In my mind, Kohli was always there. It was just a matter of few innings here and there, and he hasn't looked back since the Asia Cup. The guy has so much experience. The way KL batted as well, it was important for him and the team. We know what sort of player he is at the top of the order. Some of the catches we took today was great to watch. When you're playing in front of a big crowd it's not easy. To take those catches, it shows the character of the guys. I have no doubts over our fielding abilities.

Shakib Al Hasan: "It's been the story when we play India. We're almost there but don't cross the line. It was a great game, the crowd enjoyed, both teams enjoyed, in the end someone has to win and someone has to lose. Litton is batting really well, probably he's our best batsman going around. We thought we could chase this down after that start. Our plan was to get India's top order quickly, that's why I bowled out Taskin, he's been our main bowler. Unfortunately he couldn't get wickets today, he was unlucky but it was a plan to get India's top order out to dictate the game. We're positive, we wanted to enjoy this World Cup, hopefully we can continue this."

Arshdeep Singh to Nurul Hasan, 1 run, a single is all they'll get as Arshdeep goes full and straight. India win a tense win! Arshdeep once again bowls that Yorker-length that he's so good at, Nurul is deep inside the crease trying to maximise on an inch here or there but can't get underneath that delivery. But what a fight they've put up. Bangladesh were cruising when the rain came down, India were shell-shocked but how well they've bounced back. All thanks to some excellent catching. India are on track then for the semi-finals. Bangladesh's hopes hang by a slim thread, but their net run rate hasn't done them any favours.

six needed to tie.

Arshdeep Singh to Nurul Hasan, FOUR, sliced for four, there's life in the game yet! Arshdeep misses his Yorker by an inch, Nurul uses the depth of the crease to carve this behind point for four. Picked the gap between point and short third to perfection.

11 off 2. Two sixes will do it for Bangladesh.

Arshdeep Singh to Nurul Hasan, 2 runs, once again an excellent Yorker-length delivery on off, Nurul squeezes this down to long-on and they scamper two more. They had to go for two. Somehow managed to get across the line.

Arshdeep Singh to Nurul Hasan, no run, right into the blockhole, reverts to his A game. Nurul looks to swing it into the leg side again with the angle but misses and turns down a possible leg bye to keep strike. He believes he can hit the 13 off 3 Bangladesh need to win this. Tense stuff this.

Arshdeep Singh to Nurul Hasan, SIX, nailed for six! Arshdeep digs one in short, Nurul picks the short boundary as he muscles this into the stands at deep square.

Arshdeep Singh to Taskin Ahmed, 1 run, tails in a yorker, Taskin swings big and gets a thin inside edge that whizzes past the off stump, Karthik half-stops it to keep it to a single.
