11.35pm So that's that for today, with West Indies moving up to second place in Group 2 with this clinical victory. No team is knocked out yet in the group (yes, even USA can technically make it to the semis if South Africa beat West Indies and they get a massive win over England), there is plenty to play for and I am sure we will have some thrillers on our way. Thank you for tuning in, and do be back for tomorrow's game between India and Bangladesh. For now, it's Abhimanyu signing off on behalf of Fidel, Thilak and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo.
11.30pmTime for the presentation ceremony
West Indies skipper, Rovman Powell: "It's very special. Kensington brings very special memories for us. [On the bowling performance] I think [Chase] plays a critical role for us. He comes and tightens things. Credit has to be given to the boys, we set out to achieve our goals and we did. [On Hope] He's been fantastic. He got an opportunity and was dropped due to combination but came back and performed. Shows the strength of the team."
Aaron Jones: "I think maybe, we probably needed a score around 175-180 and we obviously finished under par. In the middle we lost wickets in clusters. That's very important in T20 cricket and we never recovered from that. Obviously we tried to take a few quick wickets in the powerplay. England will be a good challenge and we are up for it."
11.20pm West Indies have absolutely demolished their fellow co-hosts in Bridgetown today courtesy a brilliant team bowling effort and then a sublime 39-ball 82 not out from Shai Hope. They have won the game with nine wickets and 55 balls to spare, giving themselves every chance of making it through to the semi-finals. Now, even if England beat USA, West Indies will know they just need to win their game against South Africa to progress, having gotten their net run rate above the Proteas'. Commanding win on a day they really needed it. Johnson Charles struggled, but Shai Hope never let West Indies feel any pressure in a low chase. Pooran also came on and played a little blitz to ensure West Indies got the job done in short time.
The Player of the Match, Roston Chase: "[On his career-best figures] To do it at home is a great feeling, with my parents and my friends watching. It's something we talked about in the team meeting that if we don't get too many wickets in the powerplay, it's on the spinners to come back and pull the game back and that's what we did today. [On his catch to dismiss Steven Taylor] I love fielding at point, it gets me going. This is my favourite place to play cricket. I'm from Barbados so I grew up playing cricket here. [On the SA match] It's our destiny and our goal to win the World Cup so anyone we play we have to beat from here to go win it"
Prakash Y: "I think this is usa's first bad performance in the tournament " They were just outclassed today!
Evancho: "I bet with my wife that today you will watch gun power of WI will win and finish with in 12 over. Please espn post this feedback. My wife is watching the commentary. Thank you."
So, if West Indies win this in the next 4.4 overs, which seems very likely, they will shoot above South Africa in terms of their NRR!
