1.39pm Well, well. Pakistan need exactly 120 to win. A run a ball. This isn't a straightforward pitch to bat on, but for a large chunk of the India innings it looked like the best pitch New York has served up so far at this World Cup. I don't think India will be pleased with this total, but how far is it from par? And how will Bumrah and Co do? These are the big questions leading into the chase.

Here's Mohammad Amir's verdict: "I think we did well as a bowling unit, but this is a decent total on this track. We need to bat well and sensibly. It's a bit tricky. We need to start well and finish well." Given those words, you would think India aren't out of this. Let's hope we have a humdinger of a finish. Danyal will be here shortly to bring you the start of the chase.

Elsewhere, India said farewell to their greatest ever footballer in Sunil Chhetri recently. How can they deal with his departure and can India still keep their World Cup hopes alive?

Akbar: "If you are thinking Pakistan have made it easier for themselves, I believe they have given 20 runs too many. Having watched their performance recently and the condition of the pitch, it isn't going to be all that easy."

ravi: "this match is definitely Pakistan's. India were eyeing 150 from the start - taking risks - losing wickets. But the target is clear for Pakistan and how they need to bat. "

Ajay: "This target will suit babar-rizwan style of battingIndian batsmen certainly couldn't read the pitch."

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammed Siraj, OUT, ooh, driven in the air, but it doesn't carry to mid-off. But Pakistan get their wicket anyway, because there's a mix-up. Full, angling in towards leg stump, following Siraj's attempt to create room. Drives and almost yorks Babar at mid-off. He picks up and throws to the keeper's end, because while Siraj set off immediately, Arshdeep was slow to respond. Nowhere in the picture as Rizwan collects and whips off the bails. India are bowled out with an over to spare

Arshdeep Singh run out 9 (26m 13b 1x4 0x6) SR: 69.23

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammed Siraj, no run, looks to step across and scoop again. This time it's fuller and outside off, and he misses again, or does he get a little touch on it? Pakistan appeal for caught behind, and it's not given. Babar has reviewed... Cross-seam ball, and did it brush the face of the bat as it went? Close, but no contact. Nothing on Ultra Edge

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammed Siraj, no run, now Siraj steps across his stumps, aiming for a scoop/deflection over short fine leg. Shaheen goes on pace, length, at the stumps, and beats the batter but it bounces over the stumps
18.3
2
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammed Siraj, 2 runs, low full-toss outside off, jabbed towards that deep cover fielder again, and Siraj sprinted out for a second, so the fielder throws at his end as he hurries back that way. Not the best of throws, and the bowler can't collect cleanly either - he may have been unsighted by Siraj running across him - and India get another overthrow

2
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammed Siraj, 2 runs, fullish outside off, plays a checked drive to the right of deep point

Round the wicket now.

2
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Mohammed Siraj, 2 runs, in the blockhole, slanting across to finish jusy outside off. Jabbed to the right of backward point, where Shadab sprints to the ball and throws at the keeper's end, conceding an overthrow

Shaheen to bowl his fourth. Over the wicket.

Deep Bhatia: "This is what happens when you have such batting pitches in the IPL with super short boundaries. Most of the Indian batsmen have perished either getting flummoxed by the pace of the pitch or holing out in the deep."

Haris Rauf to Mohammed Siraj, 1 run, looks for the yorker, ends up angling slightly down leg. Steps across and clips to deep square leg

Rauf is on a hat-trick now, with Mohammed Siraj in his sights. Slip in place.

Haris Rauf to Bumrah, OUT, and he's gone first ball. Full and wide, and Bumrah gets a nice stride in to drive, and he hits it well, but hits it in the air, at chest height, straight to Imad at short cover. India nine down

JJ Bumrah c Imad Wasim b Haris Rauf 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Bumrah is in at No. 10.

W
Haris Rauf to Pandya, OUT, taken, Ifti on the leg-side boundary! Length ball angling into the stumps, and Hardik shuffles across and looks for the pick-up flick. Hits it pretty well, but Iftikhar, sprinting left from long leg, intercepts it nicely

HH Pandya c Iftikhar Ahmed b Haris Rauf 7 (24m 12b 1x4 0x6) SR: 58.33

2
Haris Rauf to Pandya, 2 runs, another thick edge, and this time Shadab is back at deep third, and he stops this from reaching the boundary. Similar to the previous boundary, shortish ball that Hardik makes room against and flashes at. Not quite as short as the previous one, and a terrific bit of work from Shadab, throws himself full-length to his left

Haris Rauf to Pandya, no run, back of a length, nips in to hit the thigh pad as Hardik misses the tuck off his legs
17.1
4
Haris Rauf to Pandya, FOUR, shortish, angling into the stumps, and Hardik makes room, exposes all his stumps, and rolls his wrists over a back-cut. Thick edge, flies very fine, and the diving deep third, moving to his left, can't cut it off. Naseem seems to hurt his right knee while diving there

Rauf.

Mohammad Amir to Arshdeep Singh, no run, wow. Arshdeep takes stance outside leg stump, a long way outside, exposing all his stumps, then jumps across before the bowler delivers. Ends up going full but outside off, and Arshdeep swings and misses, aiming leg side
16.5
0
Mohammad Amir to Arshdeep Singh, no run, again, an edge doesn't carry. Steps out and Amir bowls a cutter into the pitch, the line just outside off. Swings across the line, gets an edge to it, but it falls well short of the keeper
16.4
2
Mohammad Amir to Arshdeep Singh, 2 runs, full, angling in towards off stump, opens his hips and swipes it away through midwicket. Deep square leg moves to his right to stop it

Arshdeep is okay to continue. India will be glad it's his non-bowling hand.

Mohammad Amir to Arshdeep Singh, no run, did that carry? Doesn't matter, because Rizwan hasn't held on. And it's hurt Arshdeep. Cross-seam bouncer, and Arshdeep gets into an awkward, cramped position while trying to hook. Jams his right glove into his bat handle, and then loops up behind the wicket, teasingly. Rizwan has to throw himself forward to try and catch it, and I don't think it carried. Can't catch it on the bounce either
16.2

Mohammad Amir to Arshdeep Singh, no run, length ball just outside off, hangs back and defends into the covers
16.1
4
Mohammad Amir to Arshdeep Singh, FOUR, Arshdeep heaves one away. Length ball slanting in towards off stump, and he just stands there, opens up his hips, and clubs it away over wide mid-on. Doesn't quite nail it, and it lands and slows down in the outfield, but enough impetus on the ball to pick up four

Amir to finish off. Left-arm over.

Din: "No disrespect to Pak, but I don't see they chasing anything above 130 in this pitch against Bumrah and co bowling. " -- 130 is still quite a way away...
