Adil Rashid: "I thought we bowled well as a team for most part. We kept it tight, kept them under pressure, and I felt okay. I think if you'd said 168 in the beginning of the day, we'd have been happy with that. We know fours and sixes will come in the end overs."

Elsewhere, a crucial season of the I-League is about to begin this weekend, with promotion to the cash-rich ISL on the line. Clubs from the length and breadth of the nation, literally, are taking part. Get the lowdown on what to expect from the season, in our comprehensive preview, here.

8.06pm What a knock from Hardik Pandya. What an absolute superstar he is. England bowled brilliantly for most part, keeping India down to 100 off the first 15 overs, but the last five overs have cost them 68 runs. Sixty eight. It's a score India will think they can defend, but it's also a total England will back themselves to chase down with the depth of batting they have. What a semi-final this has been so far. Hopefully it'll only get better, as Andrew Miller returns for the start of England's chase.

Sudeep: "Shouldn't Ashwin have been on strike after Pant's dismissal according to the new rules regardless whether they crossed or not?" -- That rule doesn't apply to run-outs.

Uday: "Oops.. That could have made it 72 in the last 5. Hard luck Hardik.. India had to settle for 68 in the last 5 for the loss of an additional wicket. Superb act from Hardik at the crease taking India a good 18-20 runs above what they could have scored otherwise. Onto the Bowlers now in another 20 minutes."

Bikram : "Win probability graph sneaks into the Indian orange for the first time to spark hope"

Jordan to Pandya, OUT, Ah. That runs away to the boundary, but Hardik is out hit-wicket. Again he's way back in his crease, converting a full ball into a length ball on off stump. Whips it with brilliant timing to find the square leg boundary, but in the process of stepping back to play that shot, he's trodden onto his stumps

Jordan to Pandya, FOUR, wow, what an innings. Not the best ball from Jordan, but how much of it is down to the pressure of who's at the other end? Full-toss, fairly high, pulls it and beats Stokes to his right at deep midwicket. Is it above waist height? Not quite
19.4
6
Jordan to Pandya, SIX, and why wouldn't you take the strike even if it means your partner is run-out? It's hard to get the yorker right when the batter is sitting so deep in his crease, as Hardik is after a big back-and-across trigger. then it's all wrist as he helicopters it up over long-on, the longest boundary on this ground. Wow.

Ashwin comes in ahead of Axar. But it's Harduk on strike.

W
Jordan to Pant, OUT, well done. Excellent delivery, and England pick up a run-out too. Pant sacrifices his wicket there. Wide-ish yorker slanting across Pant, who tries to stab it away but can't connect. Hardik calls him through for a bye, more to cross and get back the strike than anything. Buttler throws to Jordan, who whips off the bails at his end with Pant nowhere in the picture

RR Pant run out 6 (13m 4b 1x4 0x6) SR: 150.00

1
Jordan to Pandya, 1 run, nicely timed, but straight to deep cover point. Full and fairly wide, and he opens the bat face to slice it in that direction, on the bounce

That brings Hardik back on strike.

1
Jordan to Pant, 1 run, looks for the wide yorker, bowls a wide full-toss. Carved powerfully, on the bounce, to deep cover point

India have scored 56 in the last four overs. How many can they get off the 20th? It's Pant on strike to Jordan. Deep backward square leg, deep midwicket, wide long-on, deep backward point, deep cover point. Expect the wide yorker. Over the wicket.

Curran to Pandya, FOUR, wow, that's superb timing, and Stokes ends up misfielding on the midwicket boundary. Almost nails this leg-stump yorker, but those wrists of Hardil come to the party. Drills it to the right of Stokes, and he slightly overruns the ball. Manages to adjust and stop it, but doesn't control the ball, and eventually it runs away to dribble into the boundary cushions. Brings up Hardik's fifty, off just 29 balls. An utterly brilliant innings in these circumstances

That shot takes India past 150.

6
Curran to Pandya, SIX, bam, outahere. Slower ball, shortish, sits up outside off, and Hardik swats this high over wide long-on. What an innings this has been
18.4
4
Curran to Pandya, FOUR, ah, superb. Lovely hands from Hardik there. Slants the yorker away from off stump, but it's not wide enough to make the batter reach for the ball. Waits deep in his crease, and opens his bat face at the last moment to steer it to the right of backward point
18.3
1
Curran to Pant, 1 run, terrific delivery. Fast yorker at Pant's feet. Gets his front leg out of the way quickly to flick to deep backward square leg
18.2
4
Curran to Pant, FOUR, And Pant clatters this slower ball into an unguarded area. Back of a length, and he makes room by clearing his front foot, and then carves the ball up and over backward point

Deep backward square leg. deep midwicket, long-on, long-off, deep point.

18.1
1
Curran to Pandya, 1 run, slower length ball finishing around off stump, makes a bit of room to flat-bat towards wide long-off

Rishabh Pant walks in with two overs to go. Not his preferred role, but he's a dangerous customer at any time of the innings in any format. He'll be off strike as Curran begins the 19th. Left-arm over.

END OF OVER:

Jordan to Kohli, OUT, Jordan strikes. Could have disappeared for four on another day. Wide-ish yorker, and Kohli meets it low down, on the full, with an open bat face. Times it nicely, but Adil Rashid dives to his right at short third and takes an excellent, low two-hander

V Kohli c Rashid b Jordan 50 (75m 40b 4x4 1x6) SR: 125.00

17.5
2
Jordan to Kohli, 2 runs, wide half-volley, but deep cover is well in front of square. Drills the drive to the left of extra-cover and to the right of the boundary fielder, and scurries for two to bring up his fourth fifty of the tournament. Excellent innings against some pretty good England bowling

Vinod Rajpal: "Half Helicopter from Hardik "

17.4
1
Jordan to Pandya, 1 run, now he gets that heel yorker just right. Hurriedly pulls his feet out of the way and clips to deep square leg

Deep cover, long-off, long-on, deep midwicket, deep square leg.

17.3
0
Jordan to Pandya, no run, bouncer. That's a gutsy ball to bowl now with the short square boundaries, but it's a good one, getting up above shoulder height and angling into the body. Tries to hook, but can't connect
17.2
6
Jordan to Pandya, SIX, six more, that's a superlative shot. Yashpal Sharma vs Bob Willis in the 1983 semi-final. Looks for the yorker at the heel, doesn't quite pitch it full enough, and the wrists take over to send the ball soaring over the backward square leg boundary
17.1
6
Jordan to Pandya, SIX, bad ball. Goes short outside off, and it sits up nicely for Hardik, who's already deep in hius crease with his back foot outside off stump. Pulls it and clears the midwicket boundary with some ease

Here's Jordan again.

Haseeb: "Good comeback from Sam after getting hit for a 6 on the first ball."

Gokul Pradeep V: "Looks like Rishab Pant will be playing DK's role today (the finisher) "

Curran to Pandya, no run, short, angling past off stump at shoulder height. Looks to uppercut but is beaten by the bounce

Long-off, long-on, deep midwicket, deep square leg, deep point.

16.4
2
Curran to Pandya, 2 runs, perfect length on the yorker outside off. Wanted to slash that through the covers, but he plays a little early, the bottom hand takes over, and he sends it rolling down the ground towards long-off
16.3
0
Curran to Pandya, no run, full, close to off stump, driven powerfully but he can't find the gap either side of Moeen at extra-cover
16.2
2
Curran to Pandya, 2 runs, shortish, on off stump or thereabouts, pulled to the left of deep square leg. Excellent diving stop from Hales
