7.40pm Well, it looked like a 170 sort of tempo, and so it has proven. A pair of decent hands from Moeen and Malan with 51 from 37 and 41 from 30 respectively. Buttler made a start but couldn't go on. Decent efforts across the board from NZ's bowlers, with Southee's 1 for 24 standing out, including three tight powerplay overs. Varun will be here shortly.

Here's Phillips: "Hand's alright, a few cuts and bruises, it'll be alright for batting" he says after tipping over the boundary boards. "My hand went straight into a metal thing, a little bit niggly. We'll go out with a positive mindset and keep up with the rate, want to finish it with an over left in the game. A bit of mixed feedback, some went through, have to assess as we go on."
