7.40 pm Rajesh tells me that Scotland need to finish at 121 to end with a higher NRR than Oman. What a fun 20 overs we have in prospect. Miller will pick it up in a short while. See ya.
Safyaan Sharif speaks: "The bowlers bowled pretty tight in the powerplay and in the end. Compared to the first game, it's a much slower wicket. You just had to use all the variations at your disposal. It's a batter's game. I just enjoy trying to contribute as much as I can. I think it might be a little tricky, but I am backing my batters. 120 in a T20 chase is something I will take."
7.37 pm Oman have fought and scrapped their way to 122, but you get the feeling this is about 20 short of what they would have considered a minimum after winning the toss. But in T20 cricket, anything above a run-a-ball is something you can fight with.

Graham: "Do you think Oman have tried to be too aggressive today on this pitch?" --- Yes. Probably set out wanting to post 170-odd, when they should have started off with 140 or so
Coetzer has hurt his finger, the broadcasters say.

The World Cup dreams for Oman disappearing here. Unless they can somehow stitch together a couple of massive overs. Maqsood probably needs to face most of the next 12
Sami H: "With respect, Mr. Rajesh is wrong. If Oman score up to 123 and win by exactly one run, Scotland's net run rate will be higher. The reason is that Oman have faced fewer overs having chased a target and their net run rate will be more affected by a close result here." --- Yes, a few of you had already pointed that out. Cricket, huh?

End of a tidy spell from Watt. Just relentless with his lines and lengths, and clever usage of the crease
