6.23pm So, 11 runs off that final over, and England finish on a competitive 288 for 8... what might they have managed, however, had Heather Knight not run herself out with five overs remaining? England lost 5 for 39 thereafter, with their ropey middle-order failing once again to match the standards set by Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt in a brilliant third-wicket stand. India's stand-out was Deepti, with four wickets, including each of the openers after an important powerplay platform.
Knight: "Nice to contribute on a wicket more conducive to batting. Just above par so got to bowl well to defend it. Took some time to get in, a bit tacky, slow bounce. Partnership with Nat, I was the one who was more aggressive, use my sweeps, seemed to be effective. Trying to maximise the last ten which we didn't do super-well. The outfield is fast, but if the seamers hold their lengths and go top of the stumps, put the pressure on them. It's a key game for them."
Right, with that, it's back to Shashank for the top of the chase. He'll be here shortly to pick up the narrative of a crucial World Cup clash.
Prachi: "Mark my words, England will win by 79 Runs !!!! Post this comment and get a chance to meet the greatest astrologer of all time" It has to be said that Knight played a world-class innings. It might take similar to match it
