10.30pm: Time to hear from the captains, starting with Nigar Sultana Joty: "Really proud of the way we fought to the last ball. The girls are so young. We fight for each and every run, we're very emotional, so it was a great learning curve. [Batting approach] We have lost early wickets in the powerplay, so we wanted a partnership. Maybe we were still 10-15 runs short. [Shorna Akter innings] I've been talking about her for a long time. The way she batted was a show we were really enjoying and showed how we should bat. [Bowling] We talked about putting it on the right length, maybe we fell down, but we showed good spirit. My team was very young but we kept going. [Message] Be proud of how we have done and we have three more games left. The way we played we gave them a tough time in the middle."
SA captain Laura Wolvaardt: "Nerves are shot, that was a lot closer than we wanted but glad we got the points. [Bowling] Tried to stay patient, thought slower balls were working well, bowl for the stumps. Frustrating not to get wickets early but they applied themselves well and Shorna was amazing at the end. [Batting] Kappy and Chloe were amazing. Not the start that we wanted. Tried to be watchful, build partnerships but we lost wickets. [Tight games] At least we're getting over the line. There's been times we've lost these games, and our middle order scoring runs is good to know. [Klaas hanging in with NDK] That lap at the end of incredible, we'll be talking about that for a long time."
Right, that's yer lot for tonight, after another corker in Vizag! Andrew Miller's report is on its way, and we'll have more from Vishal and the team, so don't go far. Tomorrow it's SL vs NZ in Colombo, make sure to join us for that. Cheerio!
10.20pm: Hugs among the SA players, as Bangladesh commiserate. They fought all the way to the end, having reduced SA to 78 for 5 and 198 for 7, but couldn't stop de Klerk when it mattered... Shorna Akter, who dropped the crucial chance at long-off with nine needed, will need an arm around her in the dressing room. Bangladesh followed the template, put a score on the board, and then went to work with their spin attack; SA had fifties from Chloe Tryon, who was also put down, and Marizanne Kapp before de Klerk played finisher again
Chloe Tryon is named Player of the Match: "Got no words. Glad to have Nadine at the back doing what she does best. Wanted to take it deep, wait for the bad balls to come, managed to put on a good partnership [with Kapp] and we got over the line. [Partnership?] Kept it simple, we needed something like [155 off 167], so nice and calm and waited for the bad balls. [SL game next] We'll enjoy this but big game when we get to Colombo."
