7:12pm Well, that innings seemed to take an eternity. It was more than four hours ago that it began, but it was halted mid-way due to bugs causing mischief, and was stopped at multiple other points as the batters, bowlers and fielders struggled due to their presence. But when the cricket was on, India and their vaunted batting unit failed to get into any sort of rhythm. Almost everyone got starts but none could cash in, with Deol's 46 being the highest.
Fatima, at the toss, said she would be happy restricting India to under 250 and that is what Pakistan have done. The skipper was the pick of the bowling bunch too, bagging a couple of wickets on the way. Baig accounted for four batters but was also expensive, with Iqbal, Shamim and Sandhu also among the wickets. Pakistan, remember, have never gone past 200 in a women's ODI against India, and that will make India feel comfortable of their defence, even if they would have, ideally, liked a more healthy total on the board. Join us in a bit for the chase. Fidel tells me it will be a 20-minute innings break.
Rodrigues: (On the bugs and the disruption it caused) To be honest, I had to concentrate a lot more because you could not see much, but you have to do what you have to do. (On the pitch) It was not an easy pitch because it was covered for 48 hours. Moisture on the pitch and that was giving it a bit of hold. This is a fighting total for us. (On Ghosh batting at 8) I was batting inside, so I am not sure. (Possible explanation) We maybe wanted to give her the last five overs - so she can just watch the ball and hit the ball. (On the score) We cannot take any team lightly. The pitch and the conditions will suit our bowlers a lot more.

Baig to bowl the last over. Pakistan have been penalized for their lackluster over-rate too, and they now need to have an extra fielder inside the circle
