Shubha : "NZ didn't allow Aus to play the full quota! That is the sole consolation after the 1st innings"
Anant: "This is pretty flat deck, NZW will fancy their chances here. "
6.26pm So Australia have scored their highest total against New Zealand, and in the process set a fairly imposing target of 327. It was an innings in high gear from the get-go, with Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield (45 off 31) romping along from the very first over. It helped towards an opening powerplay of 81 runs. But New Zealand chipped away with wickets, though that barely slowed the scoring as Australia kept building partnerships. The key stand though involved Ash Gardner, whose 115 off 83 revived Australia from 128 for 5 at one point. Her partnership with Kim Garth was worth 69 off 53, and the best of the innings. Gardner also shared stands of 64 and 47 with both Tahlia McGrath and Sophie Molineux, as Australia pushed towards what they hope will be a match-winning total. Shashwat will be back with the chase in about 30 minutes.
