7:54pm That was a whirlwind innings. At the start, India seemed in control, even if they were not taking SL apart. But then, all of a sudden, India were under immense strife. They were reduced to 124-6 and at that stage, it seemed India would do well to go past 200. But they got past 200 and then some, with Amanjot and Deepti producing excellent half-centuries. The former rode her luck and the latter could not get the big hits away as often as she would have liked towards the end, but 269 looks a very decent total on a track that has held up a touch and has offered spin.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will feel they have let go of a big opportunity. After picking up six wickets, SL lost their bowling discipline and their fielding nous. They dropped Amanjot four times, and that proved to be pivotal, with India going well past 250. Ranaweera, with her three-wicket over in the 26th, was the star of the show, also popping up with another scalp prior to it. SL now have a steep chase on their hands, but given their recent uptick in batting pedigree, they will feel they can give this a good rattle. Join us in a bit for the chase!
Sri Lanka's target will be 271.
Inoka Ranaweera: (On the three-wicket over) The plan was to bowl with line and length, and my execution was good. I backed myself and came out trump. (After the Amanjot dropped catch) I wanted to contain the runs and bowl defensively. I wanted to finish off the over well, had the chance but I missed it. (On the chase) It is within us and we are going to do it.

Last over coming up. Kulasuriya to bowl. Can India push towards 265?
