Welcome back for the chase. Pakistan have done well to restrict South Africa to 223 but it won't be easy against the seamers as the pitch has live grass and we saw movement in the first innings. The players are walking out to the middle. Shabnim Ismail to start. Two slips in. Nahida and Sidra Amin the openers.
About this total now - should be par considering Pakistan's batting line-up. South Africa should be confident of a good show considering the bowlers at their disposal. All depends on how the Pakistan openers start. We'll get to know how this story moves in a bit. Back with the chase shortly.
Sune Luus and Wolvaardt's partnership meant Pakistan couldn't run through South Africa. Wolvaardt, as she said, got out just as she was starting to look good. Luus, meanwhile, scored her slowest ODI half-century. Apart from Sana, the first half belonged to a certain Ghulam Fatima, who was playing an ODI after five long years. Her slow legbreaks made life tough for the South African batters and they lost all momentum in the middle.
Here are Laura Wolvaardt's thoughts at the innings break: I was upset that I didn't go all the way. My job is to bat through and I didn't do that. We were looking at a 260+ score, we will have to fight hard. Not an easy pitch at all. Chetty's cameo made a massive difference.
Tautoru: "Unless Kappie and team run through the batters, SA's total is about 25 too light. "
5:05pm South Africa would seem comfortable at this point in the game while Pakistan would be thinking that they have let yet another opponent escape to a good total in this World Cup. Pakistan began well with the ball again, with Fatima Sana and Diana Baig keeping the top order quiet. Sana showed her wares, first with the new ball and then at the death with her variations.

28 runs off the last three overs. How much can South Africa get in the final one?
