England's bowling was good, the catching and fielding were sloppy at times but credit must go to Australia's batters who weathered a storm and carried on as the pitch eased out. This looks like Australia's game. England's approach and execution will be interesting. Vishal will be back for the second innings. In the meantime, here are some comments from the last few overs:

Azeez: "3rd match and we already have 3 centuries. BTW, what is the record fir a single edition?" 14 in 2017, pings Sampath.

Karen: "Excellent innings from Haynes. For me what makes this team great is that it's never only one player who is constantly dragging the team to wins, it can be anyone in the team."

Osh: "Perry making a nice little point at the end there on her abilities in the shorter forms"

Joel: "Never seen runs leaked so quickly in the last 10 overs of an WODI"

Karen: "Proper commentator's curse that one. Sorry Rachael!"

Sam: "They should have sent Tahlia ahead of Ellyse." Perry closed out really well but that would have been a reasonable option at the time

Meg Lanning, 86 (110): It was hard at the beginning, they bowled well early on. Rachel played really well to weather the early storm. She put the pressure on Ecclestone, hit the gaps and took pressure off me. Driving early was difficult at the top. The pitch got easier, so we'll have to adjust to the conditions in the second half. Rachel's innings was brilliant. She was in control, get through early, took good risks at the right time. It's certainly one of her best innings.

5.30 pm Australia, thanks to a marathon partnership between the centurion, Rachel Haynes, and skipper, Meg Lanning, have put on the highest total against England in a Women's World Cup. Alyssa Healy started the innings on a positive note as Haynes was biding her time. Lanning took her time to settle in and they milked singles at will. The boundaries came regularly, the plays and misses evaporated along with the dots.
