Except for that one partnership between Chandimal and Mendis, they really had nothing going for them. Wayne Parnell set the tone for the slide early with wickets in each of his first two overs, before Imran Tahir hastened it with his triple strike. Parnell has already suggested that chasing this total down will be harder than it seems. Even so, Sri Lanka's bowlers need to be at their very best and their fielders have to capitalise on every half chance and quarter chance to make a game out of this. The pitch is slow, there is turn for the spinners and the ball isn't coming on too nicely, it's stopping on the batsmen. Ones and twos will be the way to go about this innings. They had a nice partnership going on in the middle, but we knew if we could break that, we can run through them. With the wicket playing low and slow, around the wicket is better.
