Scorer: K Vairavan | Commentator: George Binoy

Ankit: "Not a mere redemption. Jurel and Hetmyer were really trying to prove a point. "

Kay: "All those dire predictions about RR collapse hugely overestimated the quality of the opposition."

It's the end of IPL 2025 for Rajasthan Royals and they finish with four wins and are in ninth place. They should be able to stay there, unless CSK manage to beat GT by a sizeable margin. It looks like CSK will finish at the bottom of the table for the first time in IPL history.

Dhoni: It was a good total, Brevis' innings was really nice, taking risks, that's the phase we want to improve ... the run rate was up but we lost one or tweo more wickets at the start. Kamboj is good, he gets a lot of movement, his balls hit you harder than what you might expect, he's good ... he's done well, bowling three overs in the powerplay is tough. (On younger players) They have to try for the consistency, but if you are looking for 200-plus strike rate then consistency is hard to get .... they have the ability to hit sixes at any stage ... don't take pressure, when the expectations rise ... learn from senior players and coaching staff .. it's about reading the game ... this would be my advice to all the youngsters wo have done well.

Jaiswal: My form was good, we were trying our best ... we had a few injuries with the team, now we were playing together, Sanju Bhai was coming back, we will take confidence and moving forward ... Vaibhav played really well, the way he carried himself after six overs, he played amazing today. We bowled well at the death, they had a clear plan and they did a really good job today.

Anjan: "Suryavanshi's IPL runs tally finally goes past his strikerate!"

Nithya: "First wooden spoon for CSK in IPL history." Indeed it is, not confirmed yet because they have one game to go, but almost certainly.

Kasinathan: "A word of Praise for Lion hearted Madhwal. Else RR would have been left with a target of 200 . Well bowled"

The presentation is about to begin ...

Akash Madhwal is the Player of the Match for taking 3 for 29 in four overs.

Samson: It feels good, to be honest we were thinking about setting a target but I felt there's no hiding in this game, let's go out and chase it and prove a point. We have a young bowling attack, missing Jofra, Sandeep Sharma ... lots of promise for the future. Madhwal did not play a lot of games, he has been working closely with Shane Bond, doing a lot of spot bowling, and he has got the results now. Very happy for him ... the margins of error are so less it's hard to see why we had such a bad season, we will sit down after a couple of weeks to review what went wrong and come back stronger ... I don't have words for him (Suryavanshi) ... today when the middle overs were going on, he was smart in picking his options, it's a stunning combination, having that potential and game awareness."

That's all we've got for you tonight. Do tune in tomorrow for a massive game between MI and DC, the two contenders for that final playoff spot. Huge stakes at the Wankhede, weather permitting. Cheers!

Pathirana to Jurel, SIX, all over, good night! Jurel ends the game by swinging the length ball over the square leg boundary, he celebrates with a shake of his fists as he finally seals a chase, something that has haunted this team all season.

Ashwin to Jurel, SIX, tees off, and that's in the stands! Clears his front foot towards the leg side and frees his arms, lofting the full ball angling into him over deep midwicket, surely that's the game now for RR?
