Scorer: K Vairavan | Commentator: Abhimanyu Bose

11.50pm Alright then, that's that for today. Karthik Krishnaswamy's report will fill you in on all you need to know. Tomorrow, Rajasthan Royal could become the second team to get knocked out of playoffs contention if they lose to Mumbai Indians, but they are riding on the high of the win powered by their 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi. How will he go against Boult and Bumrah? Join us tomorrow to find out. For now, it's Abhimanyu signing off on behalf of Vishal, Vairavan and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo.

Rahul: "KKR might be kicking them selves for picking the wrong Iyer."

11.45pm Time for the presentation ceremony.

Shreyas Iyer is the player of the match. Here's what he has to say: "[On his form and knock] I love chasing on any field. I feel like I thrive whenever there is a big total on the board and you need to take the charge and momentum for the team for the rest of the batters to come and go full throttle. I don't want to curse it [his away form] and just stay in the present and reacting to the ball. It doesn't matter where I am playing. I just play with my approach. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Lately I have been battin ga lot in the nets and facing the quick bowlers, especially with the new ball and that's given me immense confidence. This is one part I have really worked on. And the attitude is something that I keep high whenever I approach the field. So I think all these small boxes have been ticked and that's there to see. More than batting, the fielding was difficult since I was running from long-on to long-on. We had to maintain over rate and I had to think at the nick of time. The humidity was more than any other field I've played on. [On the chase] We had a chat in between when Ricky came in and said we have to up the ante and not leave it to the end as they have great death bowlers. So the approach was to just take on the bowlers with the power hitters coming down the order and back ourselves. When I got in I said that I need to play a few balls to see how the wicket is playing. When I played ten balls then I started going. Prabh and Priyansh have been fabulous the way they have been playing. They have been smart, not just slogging."

Vallabs: "I feel like Yuzi Chahal deserves the POTM today... not often do you see a hat-trick in a T20 match" -- changed the game with that hat-trick, so yeah, I'd think so too! We'll find out soon.

Jedi : "So CSK lost 5 games at home for the first time in a IPL season??" -- yes.

Deepankar DM : "Please tell me there's no crazy mathematical podsibility remaining for CSK?" -- Nope, they are officially out of contention.

Srini: "Yuzi's over made all the difference. CSK were looking at 220 after that massive Shedge over." -- Yup, that over made a massive difference! And Arshdeep's as well, right after Shedge's over.

Prabhsimran Singh: "[On the opening stand with Priyansh Arya] We both are hitting well so sometimes it happens that the wicket looks like it'll play slow so we took our time at the start, so when he got out I took the onus of scoring runs. When we had our camps, we were told we'll open together so we bonded well from then only and we opened together from that time. I wasn't thinking too much about the run rate because I knew Shreyas is there, so if I miss out, I knew he'd hit a few boundaries. [On his role and form] I always thought that even if I get 35-40 runs in a winning cause it's good, I don't need to score 70-80 or 100. And I am just trying to carry on when I get set. I would like to give the credit to Ricky Ponting. Even when things are going bad if the coach or captain go and speak to the players, it really helps. Yes, now we are looking at qualification, and we are doing our best to do that."

MS Dhoni: "I think the batting, yes it was the first time we put enough runs on the board, but I feel it was slightly short of a par score. It's demanding on the batsmen but we needed slightly more. The partnership between Curran and Brevis was fantastic. I think we need to take our catches. I think Curran is a fighter, we all know. Unfortunately whenever we have tried to give him a chance so far, it was a slow wicket but today's wicket was the best one we had at home this season. [On Brevis] I think it's momentum in the middle order and he's a very good fielder and he has good power so he can hit good balls for boundaries. He brings energy in the field too. We needed that fresh air, someone not caught up in the spiral. He can be an asset going forward."

11.27pm A stunning knock from Shreyas Iyer, backed up by Prabhsimran Singh's half-century have seen Punjab Kings home as CSK slide to their fifth defeat at the Chepauk. PBKS go second on the table, one point behind RCB. Yuzvendra Chahal's hat-trick in the first innings helped them keep CSK to 190 when 200-plus looked inevitable. Sam Curran's blitz goes in vain. We did see some positives for CSK. Apart from Curran's knock, there was some stunning fielding from Dewald Brevis, but other than that, their wretched campaign continues to be just that.

Ahmed to Jansen, FOUR, Inside edged for four and PBKS win! Length ball angled across, Jansen looks to pull and gets it past the stumps and Dhoni! CSK are officially out of contention for the playoff race. Punjab Kings, though, are back in the top four with a hard-fought win in the end!

Crowd has suddenly found their voice! Iyer is watching looking less relaxed than his usual self. There is a silly mid-off in place too

Ahmed to Jansen, no run, Uh oh! This is a length ball across him, steered to the point fielder. Dot ball!

Jansen the new batter. Can he hit the winning runs, around half an hour before his birthday? And to all of you in the comments asking about a Super Over, please no!

Ahmed to Suryansh Shedge, OUT, Short on leg, and oh my! Shedge pulls it to the deep midwicket fielder! Noor holds on, and PBKS will have to wait for victory

Ahmed to Suryansh Shedge, no run, Short on leg, Shedge backs away to cut but is beaten. And now he reviews for the wide. Shedge is standing tall at the crease, but I think Khaleel will be okay here. Yep, that's just under Shedge's head height

So, this match has come down to the last over. PBKS need two runs off it. Khaleel will bowl it
