191 needed, RCB look 20 short. Which team will win their first-ever title? Find out in the chase, Ashish will start soon.
Kyle Jamieson: Has to be good enough for us. Good surface, slower balls weren't sticking in as much as they were the other day. Slower ones were effective two nights ago, going short was a plan we'd made. Tried to mix it up a bit with the full balls. Got wickets, Stoin helped with one. My last over didn't go to plan though.
Rakesh Prattipa: "Come on guys , Vyshak deserves a special mention surely . 30/1 in a final is absolute gold."
krishna: "This will be chased by PBKS on 18 overs⊠Irony!!!! "
Mohit Manghani: "I sense a TURNAROUND!! PBKS will lose early wickets in the PP and to everyone's surprise and this chase will be a mountain for them. RCB Trophy loading"
9:24pm: Okay, RCB stick to a template that, if nothing else, erred on the side of safety. It's worked in PBKS' favour for the first half. 55 for 1 in the powerplay, 90 for 3 in the middle overs, 45 for 5 at the death. You could argue there were runs left at all stages. Salt was off the blocks but fell to Jamieson early. Agarwal took on the scoring responsibility, he was going well before falling to Chahal yet again. Kohli held up an end meanwhile, the risks were low but so was the strike rate. Patidar was also in second/third gear, so Shreyas cannily rotated his bowlers to keep boundaries at bay. Omarzai and Jamieson gave nothing full to Kohli, Chahal was bowling stock balls and not rushing them through. When Kohli fell, RCB actually got a move on with Jitesh bursting through. But the death-overs lottery fell in Punjab's favour despite three expensive overs.
Thamizhachi : "RCB are atleast 20 runs short! Arshdeep Singh absolutely brilliant "
