Hemant: "SRH started with a bang and ended with a bang, but played very poorly in the middle."

Abhishek Sharma: "To be honest, we thought it wasn't great to bat on. But me and Heady then saw it was one of the best to bat on. That's our strength [the way we play]... Me and Heady were deciding 230-240 only. Every batter had intent. I think the score is very good out there. It was pending from Kishan's side. He was talking about it; if it's there, he's going to take it to the last ball. It was tremendous. I hope that [to bowl] in every innings, but let's see what Patty thinks today!"

9.20pm An innings of three parts, you could say. The first 12 overs saw SRH crash 147 runs. Only 41 runs came off the next five overs. But the final three saw 43 being thumped. There were plenty of slower balls and attempted yorkers. But none of that seemed to work for RCB, as Kishan held one end up masterfully. He finished with 94* at a strike rate of nearly 200; but the foundation was laid by that familiar opening pair of Travishek, who started with a stand of 54 in four overs. Join Ashish for the chase to see where this ends, although who would mind a close finish?

Yash Dayal to Ishan Kishan, 1 run, slower bouncer on middle, and hooked on a few bounces to fine leg. Kishan ends on 94*, having started the season with a century

Yash Dayal to Ishan Kishan, 2 runs, lovely bowling! It is a slower ball, and a dipping yorker on off at barely 102kph. Kishan goes swinging, and ends up toe-ending it towards square leg. They still pinch two, though

1
Yash Dayal to Cummins, 1 run, Cummins is nearly clueless, as this short ball pitches outside off, and shapes away. It was slower too, and Cummins ended up chopping it wide of the stumps on the leg side

David seemed to have hurt his hamstring, and goes off immediately. Bethell comes on for him.

1
Yash Dayal to Ishan Kishan, 1 run, well done by David at deep-backward square leg. In fact, he ends up at fine leg, and takes it on the bounce, as Kishan swipes this full toss angling into him

Dayal will bowl the final over. And, and... RCB are allowed only four fielders on the boundary for slow over rate.

Ngidi to Cummins, 2 runs, dropped by Ngidi! But that was a difficult chance. He turned around, and started chasing the ball, before diving forward. The ball hit his hands and dribbled away towards the long-off fielder running forward. It was a fullish ball, slow and wide of off, as Cummins went lofting down the ground but mistimed it
18.5
6
Ngidi to Cummins, SIX, finally Cummins gets one away! Short of a length, but this is on middle. It is perfectly okay in line and length for Cummins to clear a big boundary, and get six over square leg

Kumar to Ishan Kishan, SIX, a bit of Rishabh Pant there!! He times that beautifully, and loses his bottom hand off the bat, but still gets six over long-on. The ball was angling in, and arrived as a low full on his knees on middle

Kumar to Ishan Kishan, no run, he shapes to reverse sweep, and Bhuvi bowls this very full and wide-ish of off. Kishan misses despite reaching out, and it's called wide. But Jitesh reviews. Replays show the ball slanting away, and pitching juuuuust about on the revised wide line. The third umpire is "satisfied" it's a wide, and RCB lose a review. But hang on, we're not done yet. The RCB players have gheraoed the on-field umpires, who call for another check. Kishan is deemed to have across the stumps, and hence, the ball is now within the revised line. So not a wide. and RCB retain their review
17.3
2
Kumar to Ishan Kishan, 2 runs, this is a yorker arriving bang on middle and off, and Kishan jams it towards deep extra cover. Two more Kishan in no time

Shepherd to Manohar, OUT, taken with a juggle at deep midwicket!! Salt nearly dropped it, before catching the ball by going low. Shepherd continued to bowl the bouncer, and this one rose well on top of off after pitching outside it. Manohar backed away and looked to swat-pull it, but the ball ballooned up off the higher side of the bat. All Salt had to do was keep his eyes on it, which he did, and eventually took it after a second attempt
