END OF OVER:20 | 21 Runs | MI: 180/5 | RR: 9.00

- Naman Dhir24 (8b)
- Dushmantha Chameera4-0-54-1
- Mukesh Kumar4-0-48-2
9:24pm A whirlwind finish to the innings, with Dhir and Suryakumar the chief protagonists. At one stage, it felt MI would huff and puff their way to 160, but in the end, courtesy this pair, they have blasted their way to 180. Some of their hitting was just breath-taking and they toyed with the field, accessing areas where the Capitals had no protection. Prior to that carnage, Tilak struggled his way to 27, with Jacks and Rickelton producing more aggressive cameos earlier in the innings.
DC bowled beautifully for about 18 overs, with du Plessis marshaling his troops excellently too. But when the wheels came off, their charge got derailed and it got derailed in pretty damning fashion. 48 runs came off the last two overs and that undid a bit of the good work their spinners did. DC, with du Plessis, Rahul and Stubbs in the mix, have the firepower to chase this down, but they might just be hunting a slightly above-par score here. Join us in a bit for the chase!
Suryakumar Yadav: (On if he is proud of this innings) Absolutely. This is one innings which I was hoping for a long time: a difficult situation, to bat through to the end. Maybe it (the score) is a little above par. It was a slightly slow wicket with the weather around. We wanted to take it deep, talked about that during the practice sessions. Planned for it and batted accordingly. Waiting gives you a lot of fruits in life, but felt good inside (while batting). (On the score being above par) I have not checked the dew till now, we thought it was a 160-165 wicket. Let's see - good game on our hands.
Last ball coming up. Surely MI will make it past 180?
That last over has changed the complexion of this contest. MI well within reach of 170 now, and that could be a very good score on a slightly sluggish surface. Chameera to bowl the 20th
END OF OVER:19 | 27 Runs | MI: 159/5 | RR: 8.36
- Naman Dhir24 (8b)
- Suryakumar Yadav52 (37b)
- Mukesh Kumar4-0-48-2
- Mustafizur Rahman4-0-30-1
Mukesh is struggling again and has asked for more help from the physio. The umpire is asking DC to hurry things up. This innings has already lasted more than an hour and 45 minutes...
Kuldeep: "Another impressive innings for surya! He has been MI's constant throughout this season."
Mukesh is good to go now, and so are we
Looks like Mukesh is struggling with a bout of cramp and he is receiving treatment as I type this out
This innings has gone nowhere in the past few overs. The only positive for MI is that SKY is still out there and he can change things in a trice. Can he do so against Mukesh this over?
END OF OVER:18 | 6 Runs | MI: 132/5 | RR: 7.33
- Suryakumar Yadav45 (35b)
- Naman Dhir4 (4b)
- Mustafizur Rahman4-0-30-1
- Dushmantha Chameera3-0-33-1
This certainly has not been a typical Wankhede wicket, with the ball holding up and gripping regularly. MI would want at least 160 to ensure their bowling attack has something to work with. 34 runs away from 160 at the moment, though. Mustafizur to bowl out
END OF OVER:17 | 8 Runs 1 Wkt | MI: 126/5 | RR: 7.41
- Suryakumar Yadav40 (31b)
- Naman Dhir3 (2b)
- Dushmantha Chameera3-0-33-1
- Kuldeep Yadav4-0-22-1
Seems like SKY or Dhir asked for a change of bat, but the replacement might not have gone through the gauge. Back to the original piece of willow for now
Dhir is the new batter in. MI will need a hefty effort to get to 165-170 from here
