5:14pm PBKS have not sprinted but relay-raced their way to a very good total. Their openers have fired for a large part of the season. But just before the playoffs, their middle order got a test that it passed. RR struck thrice in the powerplay for the first time this season. This meant Wadhera and Iyer, in at No. 5 today, had a job at hand. They rebuilt, not at the cost of momentum. Wadhera led the charge. Iyer supported and attacked. He fell, Shashank came up and bided time while Wadhera attacked. After Wadhera's fall, Shashank sped up with Omarzai providing the boost at the death.

A lot to be desired for RR's bowling, especially at the death (17-20) where they gave away 60. Deshpande was good at nailing the wide yorkers for a large part but travelled in his last over. A task cut out for the RR batters with Samson in it. Will they be able to deny PBKS the comfort of inching closer to qualification? Find out shortly with Abhimanyu on the wheel.

Nehal Wadhera: "Early wickets fell but me and Shreyas bhai took the team past the crossing line. Shashank and Azmat finished well. Talks between me and the skipper and the coach has been clear - punish the loose balls. That's why we have been consistently scoring over 200. Preparation happens in the nets. The way they bat in the nets is like they play in the game. It is just a repetition of what we do in the nets. [Surface] It is quite hot. Surface seems good. When bowlers bowl slow, it is gripping on it. Our bowlers know about the surface, we are going to nail this."
