9:12pm A cracker-jack of an innings. Arya fell early in the first innings for a change, but Inglis, promoted up to number three, ensured there was no drop-off inside the powerplay. He tore Mayank to shreds and that set the stage for Prabhsimran to also join the party, with Shreyas, Shashank, Stoinis and Wadhera all doing their bits with perfectly-paced cameos. Prabhsimran, though, was the star and even though he missed out on his second IPL ton, there was no denying that his boundary-hitting propelled PBKS to a score in excess of 200.
An indifferent day at the office for the LSG bowlers, and none emphasized that more than Mayank, who was taken for 60 runs in his four overs. Akash Singh was the only bowler to hold his own, bowling his four overs on the trot after taking the new ball and the runs he kept down possibly allowed LSG to restrict (if that is the right word here) PBKS to under 250. It will be a steep chase, there is no doubt about it, but LSG do have some firepower to cause a flutter. Join us in a bit for the second innings!
Prabhsimran Singh: Me and Priyansh have been starting well, so we had confidence. Happy that I could capitalize. No real strategy as such, just trying to react to the ball. Huge credit to Ricky sir, he gives us a lot of confidence and backs us. (On if there was a change after receiving a life) We try to make the powerplay big. In that, if we get a life, it is good. Was just trying to react to the ball, but felt I could take my time just a little because two (batters) had been dismissed in the powerplay. In my mind, feel that if you get set, it is a responsibility to take it deep. Things are going well, and hopefully we can win. I think the score is very good, hopefully we can bowl well now and win (the match).
Wonderful execution by Avesh so far. He has gone for yorkers at the stumps, rather than bowling wide, which is the right call with his field. Long on, deep mid wicket, deep square leg, long off and deep point on the fence
Stoinis on strike
Avesh to bowl the 20th. How many can PBKS get? Can they get to 235?
Sonu : "Another right handed batsmen in nervous nineties. Please don't publish any comment trying to jinx his century." -- Well, think this can be published now...

Stoinis in now
Prabhsimran Singh c Pooran b Rathi 91 (90m 48b 6x4 7x6) SR: 189.58
Rathi pulls out of his run-up late. Mind games?
Rathi to bowl the 19th. This is a gamble LSG have been forced into, given their reluctance to bowl their sixth bowler earlier. Around the wicket

Not sure LSG have planned this well. Short third and backward point are in the ring, and Avesh is bowling wide
200 up for PBKS. 225 well within reach from here, with 14 balls to go
Amandeep: "How long was that six by Shashank?" -- Might have been a 92m hit.
Avesh, who has enjoyed success at the death this season, to bowl the 18th
Jay: "Was wondering why Shashank when Stoinis is still there. But Shashank is fully justifying his promotion ahead of Stoinis"

A change of ball because Shashank smashed the previous one out of sight
