Jasdev: "Just remining everyone of Srividya's pre-match comment: "Should DC win with KL at the crease/ hitting the winning runs , we would be in for a social media frenzy late tonight !"
Pretty clinical from DC tonight. Aced their match-ups with the ball and pulled back an extremely strong start by LSG's openers.
Rishabh Pant: "We were 20 runs short, toss played a huge part, whoever is bowling first gets a lot of help from the wicket .. we just couldn't get it away. It always happens in Lucknow, wicket becomes better in the second innings, that's how it goes, we can't make excuses but have to learn from it. We are using Ayush as Impact Player to try and give Mayank some game time early int he season, trying to fit him in, since he's just come from NCA ... We sent someone to capitalise on. wicket like that, Miller came in, we got stuck on that wicket ... we need to figure out our best combination."
Abishek Porel says DC's approach was to target the powerplay and maximise that and then just play the gaps in the field. He says he and Rahul wanted to minimise the dot balls and keep the runs ticking over, do nothing fancy.
YoKo: "So if MI win tomorrow they have an opportunity to go 4th." They go third actually. Huge game for them in Hyderabad, read all about it in our preview.
Happy : "Early prediction. Play off teams GT, DC, MI and fight between RCB, LSG and PB Kings for the final spot. Thank me later."
Axar Patel at the presentation: "It was a bit up and down, in the powerplay we didn't take a wicket but we kept it under control, the game didn't get out of hand, we could come back with a few wickets ... to restrict them to 160 was a great effort ... I think I had an injury issue earlier that hampered by bowling, now I'm better and so I took on the responsibility of bowling in the powerplay, was in rhythm today.
"We were looking at match-ups and how the pitch was playing, looking at the short side of the ground, when Pooran came I thought Starc got him out last time too, so that was the thinking, which bowlers to use against which batsmen ...
"We could be better in our fielding, it's an area we can improve, batting and bowling can have bad days up and down but the fielding has had issues quite often."
Mukesh Kumar is the Player of the Match for his four-wicket haul that pulled it back for DC. Took the crucial wicket of Mitch Marsh, and then Samad, Badoni and Pant. "Enjoyed bowling on this wicket ... kept speaking to the captain, the length ball was effective, was mixing it up with yorkers and slower ones. The best wicket was Mitchell Marsh, he was set and it was very important for the team that I got him out. Very excited for this performance and hope to carry it forward."
Edwin : "Some more predictions. I don't see LSG in the playoffs race. Fight will be between RCB and PK, with RCB making but losing in the playoffs like last year. Finals - either DC losing to MI like 2020 or MI losing to GT."
Match 40 done and dusted. Here's what the points table looks like right now. Thank you for all your emails right through this game, until the next one, goodnight!

AdiCan: "The way DC and GT are playing, I doubt they should care about NRR. They're going to be the top two teams this year. "
