9.10pm That's 59 from the last five and 47 from the last four, and I think KKR won't be unhappy with that. Do GT have a par score here or just below par? KKR could have conceded fewer than that because of the fielding lapses, especially from Vaibhav Arora. Otherwise it was almost a typical GT innings with a strong opening stand of 114, two solid half-centuries from the openers and 41* from Buttler. But they didn't quite accelerate with all guns blazing with so many wickets in hand. The KKR bowlers tried and tried by taking the pace off, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. The beauty of GT's attack is they can defend it even if the pitch becomes easier to bat on from now. Will there be dew? Gill said at the toss there wouldn't be, but let's see. You can find out with Ashish in the chase...
Sai Sudharsan with the Orange Cap after going past 400 runs: At the start of the game the wicket was really slow and we found it really difficult in the powerplay. We tried to make use of the bad balls and we had great communication out there. I enjoy Gill's company, his experience also really helps me. It matters when the conditions are difficult and we try to make use of the running between the wickets. We understood the wicket was difficult so we tried to bat deep because wickets in hand is the most important thing. To be honest, we have given the bowlers a very good total to defend.
Jalan: "The way GT was placed at the mid of the innings, they would feel they are short by atleast 20-25 runs"
Kannadachi : "Feel GT are 18-26 runs short !!"
Mid on in the circle
Can GT really not get to 200 tonight?
