9.25pm An excellent half-century from Tilak Varma and a cameo from Naman Dhir have helped Mumbai Indians reach 205 at the end of the innings. Rohit, SKY, Rickelton all had starts, but it was only Tilak who could kick on and held the innings together. Dhir provided the flourish at the death, even as Delhi Capitals were left to rue several missed chances, mostly due to their players colliding, or being worried that they would. Kuldeep Yadav was excellent again, in case anyone wants to know. Anyway, DC need 206 now in their first game at the Kotla this season to keep up their unbeaten start. Join Ekanth in just a bit for the start of the chase.

Ryan Rickelton: "Definitely [a good total] I thought it was a bit sticky up front. Rohit was able to get a few away early to ease some pressure off us and then Naman and Tilak batted phenomenally. Nice to get one on my legs early on to get the confidence going. Hopefully it doesn't change too much. Not a lot of dew out there and from what I've heard, the nature of this wicket is a bit slow and low. If Bumrah has a good night tonight coupled with a few other bowlers, hopefully we'll be able to defend this."

Mukesh Kumar to Naman Dhir, 4 runs, Full toss around off, Dhir flicks it away behind square, and that's great fielding in the deep. The throw is a good one, too good in fact, as it hits the stumps and deflects away, allowing them to run four!

1
Mukesh Kumar to Jacks, 1 run, ON a length close to off, Jacks can only miscue a pull to deep midwicket

Here is Will Jacks, batting outside the top six in a T20 for the first time, according to my colleague Matt Roller!

Mukesh Kumar to Tilak Varma, OUT, Porel holds on in the deep! Wide yorker from Mukesh, Tilak goes across the stumps and looks to sweep this. Hits it high, but not far enough. Porel at deep midwicket is standing at the edge of the rope and holds on, without falling back. He is on one leg as he takes it, but makes it look all too easy! Tilak departs for 59 off 33

Mukesh Kumar to Naman Dhir, FOUR, Lucky! Another low full toss just outside off, and this time Dhir goes across again and just helps it very fine on the leg side. Beats the keeper and short fine leg

Murthy: "Whatever happened to calling for a catch."

1
Mukesh Kumar to Tilak Varma, 1 run, Tilak slices this wide yorker high, but it drops short of deep third! Sub fielder Karun Nair throws it back quickly.

Well, Mukesh is clearly okay. Okay enough to bowl, at least

MM Sharma to Naman Dhir, SIX, It was such a great over right until this very moment! Low full toss outside off, and Dhir just goes across the stumps, gets low and flicks this behind square leg. 14 runs off that over in the end

MM Sharma to Naman Dhir, 2 runs, Full outside off, driven out to long-off

1
MM Sharma to Tilak Varma, 1 run, Low full toss on middle, flicked out to deep midwicket. Almost a runout chance too as Dhir had run halfway down for the second while Tilak was ball-watching before he spotted his partner and told him to turn back. Gets back safely in the end even as the throw comes to Rahul, who misses his attempt at the stumps. He would have been in anyway

1
MM Sharma to Naman Dhir, 1 run, Digs out this yorker outside off to cover for a quick single. Axar has a shy at the non-striker's and a direct hit would have seen Dhir running back to the dugout

Mukesh seems to have injujred his shoulder. Ashutosh also looks injured. Both are in the dugout getting treatment now

3
MM Sharma to Tilak Varma, 3 runs, Another collision! And that's a chance gone begging as well! Tilak takes on a full ball angled across him and ends up slicing it. Ashutosh at backward point and Mukesh at short third converge and Ashutosh, who had his right arm outstretched ends up not being able to hold on. Both players look hurt

1
MM Sharma to Naman Dhir, 1 run, Starts off with a wide yorker but Dhir is also standing outside off. Reaches out and carves it out to deep point

Starc to Tilak Varma, FOUR, Another wide yorker but this time Tilak is wise to it. Reaches out and slices it over the vacant backward point region. Three boundaries off the over!

Starc to Tilak Varma, no run, Wide yorker beats Tilak. He looks to swing acfross the line but the ball sneaks under the bat

1
Starc to Naman Dhir, 1 run, Almost a screamer of a catch, but in the end it's five runs saved! Length ball around off and Dhir slaps it down the ground. Axar, running to his right from long-off leaps and takes it high above his head at full stretch. He realises he is losing his balance due to his momentum, but manages to throw it in before tumbling over the rope. It will go down as a drop technically, but in reality, it's just an excellent fielding effort
17.3
4
Starc to Naman Dhir, FOUR, Brilliantly placed! Just short of yorker length and Dhir drills it through midwicket. JFM runs and dives to his left from deep midwicket, but Dhir got it straight enough of him
17.2
4
Starc to Naman Dhir, FOUR, Just helped over short fine! Dug into the pitch around off and it's angled across Dhir, who swivels and hooks it. Could have gone to the fielder on another day, but today, he's done enough to get it over him

Starc to Naman Dhir, no run, Starts off with a brilliant wide yorker at 142kph. Just inside the line and Dhir can't get his bat down on time

MM Sharma to Tilak Varma, no run, Mohit nails the yorker! And that could be a huge blow as the finger goes up. Tilak Varma reviews immediately. This was a yorker on length. Tilak jammed his bat down but the ball snakes through. Did he get an edge on that? No bat, but also, it's pitching outside leg, so Tilak survives!
