5.30pm So, we will have the chase starting soon, on what seems to be a tough pitch. The powerplay could well be crucial in deciding which way the match goes. Join Himanshu in just a bit for the start of the chase.

Sonny : "I have no issues with the notebook celebration, it's no more confrontational than Sheldon Cottrell's salute or any number of others, as long as it isn't in the batters' face then it passes for me"

Deepak Gupta: "As a Gooner I didn't like your comparison of CSK with Arsenal scoring 3 against Real Madrid. Arteta has made Arsenal a European Giant whereas CSK is lost in its past glory. " Well, I meant for the comparison to mean that CSK this year are like Arsenal in the Emery years, and one day their Arteta era will come!

Sai Sudharsan: "It was difficult today, not coming on well, but me and Shubhi [Gill] had a lovely six overs of powerplay and that gave us momentum and gave us a good platform to finish good. The first few overs we didn't feel [the wicket would slow down], once the shine wore off the wicket started getting different. We had a conversation that the wicket could get slow but at the same time we didn't want to reduce our momentum and strike rate so it would be easier for us to finish well. Change of pace on the right areas were very difficult for the batters. A lot of balls are going low also and the slower ones are holding in the wicket. So it'll be difficult to bat on."

5.25pm An innings of two halves! Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan both hit half-centuries in a 120-run opening stand. That was at the 12-over mark. After that they managed just 60 runs in the next eight overs, losing six wickets. None of the batters after the openers could quite get in. Bishnoi, Rathi, Avesh and Shardul all bowled very impressively to keep GT down to 180.

Thakur to Rashid Khan, 2 runs, Ooooh, that's just cleared mid-off running back! Short outside off, Rashid backs away and slaps it in front. Just about clears Markram!

Premal: "Funky celebrations are Ok as long as they don't cross a line. My problem with Rathi's celebration is that it's not even original, some West Indies bowler used to do that." Kesrick Williams, yes. But he also copies Narine's action and

Thakur to Tewatia, OUT, Shardul strikes again with another full toss! He is on a hat-trick! Low full toss outside off and Tewatia moves across to try and heave it down the ground. No timinng on that, it goes high in the air and Markram isn't dropping those at long-on! They have a check for the height on the full toss, but the umpire's check confirms it was a fair delivery

Tewatia has three balls to face. Can he make an impact?

Thakur to Rutherford, OUT, Up goes the finger! Shardul Thakur took two wickets with full tosses against KKR, and he has got one here today! Rutherford moves across a long way, expecting the wide yorker. But Shardul goes full on the stumps. He misses his length but Rutherford misses his flick and is struck in front. Umpire had no hesitation in giving that out

SE Rutherford lbw b Thakur 22 (32m 19b 3x4 0x6) SR: 115.78

Virat: "IPL is cricket league and adding a bit of drama/theatre for fun, without hurting others would be acceptable for all fans!!"
