Suman: "Making sense of SRH's impact sub. Wouldn't Chahar have been a better impact option over Simarjeet on a slow pitch? " -- Perhaps, but we will have to wait and watch what Simarjeet produces on this surface.

9:12pm A 17-run over, which was also SRH's best of the innings, ensures that they get up over 150. But for large swathes, they struggled, and stuttered, and stumbled. Abhishek and Head perished inside the powerplay, and Reddy, despite spending time at the crease, never clicked into over-drive. Klaasen threatened for a bit but post his dismissal, it was down to Aniket, Cummins and the cameos they produced, which has given SRH something to bowl at.

GT, had you asked them before the innings, would have snatched your hand off at 152. But they will feel they could have kept SRH down to even more. Sai Kishore was brilliant as ever, with Prasidh not bad either. But tonight, like the other evening in Bengaluru, belonged to Siraj, who removed both Abhishek and Head inside the powerplay, and bagged his best-ever figures in the IPL. GT will still be fancying their chances, but SRH, with 152 on the board on a tricky track, might just have a teensy bit to play with. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Mohammed Siraj: I am really enjoying. I had a rest, so was working on my bowling, my fitness and my mentality. Body is fresh, so I am really enjoying my bowling. (On if he is enjoying the rule of applying saliva on the ball) 100%. If the ball tails a bit, it is a wicket. When there is no saliva, the ball comes onto the bat easily. This rule makes it much better for the bowlers, with lbw and bowled now a chance (for the bowlers). Wicket is slow. I tried to swing it but it did not happen. The more you attack the stumps, the better it is. It is a good total, but maybe ten runs more.

Sharma to Mohammed Shami, 2 runs, into the blockhole on middle and off. Shami digs it out towards long off and then has to hustle back as Cummins insists on the second. Labours a little but manages to get home. SRH finish with 152!

Sharma to Mohammed Shami, FOUR, short, wide and Shami wants a piece of his long-time India teammate too! Not great bowling it must be said, but these are valuable, valuable runs. Shami throws the kitchen sink at it and flays it over extra cover!

Shami on strike

Sharma to Cummins, 1 run, low full toss on the pads. Cummins snaps his wrists into action and tugs it towards deep backward point, while almost losing his balance. Hit too firmly to even contemplate the second

Sharma to Cummins, no run, banged into the track wide outside off and this seems to balloon over the batter's head. Cummins lets it go but the umpires do not call it a wide. Cummins throws his head back in disappointment, and SRH cannot review either

Sharma to Cummins, SIX, right out of the screws! Captain Fantastic is giving SRH fans something to cheer about! Back of a length outside off and this just sits up for Cummins. He gives it all he has and whacks it clean over deep mid wicket!

Sharma to Cummins, FOUR, Cummins starts the 20th with a boundary! Wide yorker that goes wrong and ends up as a low full toss. Cummins sits deep in his crease and blazes it past extra cover!

Mohammed Siraj to Simarjeet Singh, OUT, leg stump flat on the ground, and Siraj has four! Slanted in on a length, pitching on off and continuing on with the angle. Simarjeet has a wild slog across the line and only swats away a few flies. Siraj celebrates like Cristiano Ronaldo almost always does, and this has been another incredibly impactful performance!

Mohammed Siraj to Simarjeet Singh, no run, another sizzling yorker outside off. Simarjeet is late in getting his bat down and the ball breezes past the toe-end of his blade

Simarjeet walks in. He is SRH's Impact Player for the evening, replacing Head

Mohammed Siraj to Verma, OUT, Siraj appeals, and the finger goes up instantly! Searing in-swinging yorker on middle and leg. Aniket opens up his stance and tries to flick it away. Misses it completely and gets smashed on the back leg. Looked pretty adjacent but Aniket has reviewed because, well, why not. No bat involved, and that has rapped Aniket right in front of the stumps. Aniket, in fact, starts walking towards the dressing room after seeing the first replay. Ball Tracking comes up and it shows the ball to be thundering into leg stump! Aniket has to go, and SRH are now seven down!

Mohammed Siraj to Verma, no run, slow, short and wide outside off. Aniket swishes himself off his feet but still cannot make contact. SRH batters look at the umpire and then go upstairs. There is a chunk of the ball inside the revised guideline, and the non-wide call stays!

Prasidh Krishna to Mendis, OUT, high into the night sky, and nestling into another Titan's palms! Off-pace and into the track on middle and leg. Kamindu looks to swipe it over deep square leg but does not get the power he wants. Goes as far as Sudharsan on the deep backward square leg fence and he makes absolutely no mistake. The one step forward, one step back theme continues for SRH!
