9:13pm 78 runs. That was how many KKR scored in the last five and that ignited an innings that was a little devoid of spark, despite Rahane and Raghuvanshi doing their best to consolidate and accelerate. The latter brought up his second half-century, although that was soon overshadowed by Venkatesh, who took his time at the start but then turned on the style as the death overs dawned. Rinku, who finished unbeaten on 32, was not shabby either.
SRH will feel they let KKR off the hook. At 122-4 after 15 overs, they had a chance to keep them under 180, but they lost the plot, meaning they now have to get more than 200 to bag their second win. Their spinners were good, which made Cummins' decision to bowl them for only four overs combined a little perplexing. They will not baulk at this score, but they will feel they could have been chasing much lesser. Join us in a bit for the chase!
Venkatesh Iyer: The ball was holding on a bit, not the Eden (Gardens pitch) I am used to playing at. We feel we have a good score, a very competitive score (on the board). I did not get a lot of runs in the first two games, so just wanted to get a feel of the wicket. Credit has to go to them (Rahane and Raghuvanshi) for the way they handled. They (SRH) bowled well, and the ball was holding. The message was to take your time and then go all-out. (On playing domestic cricket) It helps a lot. BCCI has now made it mandatory to play domestic and that is an opportunity for all of us, to go up against new bowlers. It is a challenge to play domestic and I don't miss a chance to go and even play club cricket.
AD Russell run out 1 (4m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50
Russell on strike for what should be the final ball of this innings. 200 up already
Right. Dre Russ is in. With three balls left in the innings. KKR on the verge of 200. Long on, deep mid wicket, deep point, deep backward point and long off on the fence
VR Iyer c Verma b Patel 60 (41m 29b 7x4 3x6) SR: 206.89
Well well. How quickly has this game changed. KKR seemed to be struggling to get to 180, and now, they are within reach of 200. And having gotten this far, they will want to breach that barrier. Harshal to bowl the last over, around the wicket

Sid: "Cummins' lack of confidence in his spinners is visible in this innings." -- Could easily have slipped in another Kamindu over, especially when Rinku was new at the crease. Cummins back now, hoping to arrest this new-found KKR momentum
