inquisitor: "whats up with rashid lately? seems very out of form this ipl especially with sai kishore doing so much better on the same pitches" -- He did struggle to find the right pace and lengths tonight.

Calin: "With Bhuvi and Josh taking 3 wickets in the first 5 overs, I smell a last over win for RCB."

Milton: "I know this is a new pitch which was never used before. Personally i like to see this kind of Chinnaswamy pitch which gives fair justice to the bowlers. Thanks to the curator for making a sportive pitch"

Jashan : "lower order outperforming the top order and how!

9:15pm A strange, little innings, which included several missed chances and a stumping, has ended with an RCB flourish. Livingstone, Jitesh and David were the three batters to get going and all of them have ensured that RCB have something to play with. Their top order, though, failed and that was not down to a lack of intent. It was a combination of GT bowling well, and RCB just not choosing the best scoring options.

Speaking of GT, they were superb for the first seven overs. They then lost the plot a little, especially with Rashid going for 54 in his four overs. Thankfully for them, Sai Kishore continued his fine start to the season, meaning that RCB, at no point, really got away and went on a rampage. Siraj, throughout the innings, was even more impressive on his return to the Chinnaswamy, bagging Salt and Padikkal early before removing Livingstone at the death.

The Titans will be confident of chasing this down, but given the purchase on offer, RCB will also feel they can defend this. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Sai Kishore: When you bowl into the wicket, with spin, it was assisting the spinners. But you never know until both teams bowl on it. When I was bowling, I was getting purchase. (What he meant by bowling into the wicket) Having a good shape on the ball and trying to spin it as hard as I can - that is what I mean by bowling into the wicket, bowling like a proper red-ball game. (On the Krunal wicket) To be relevant in T20 cricket, you have to keep evolving. Have been practicing it for last 3-4 years, have not bowled it anywhere. Was confident to bowl it in the IPL and went with my instinct. It is like a carrom ball, so I get more dip on it.

Prasidh Krishna to David, OUT, pummels off stump and waves David goodbye to finish the innings! Searing yorker, tailing into off stump. David tries to go inside-out but cannot get under it. Misses the ball completely and sees his off stump lying flat on the deck moments later. Prasidh gives David a bit of a goodbye, but this is another handy cameo, and RCB have more than a handy total on the board!

TH David b Prasidh Krishna 32 (25m 18b 3x4 2x6) SR: 177.77

Last ball coming up. Can David get RCB up to 175? Long off, long on, deep mid wicket, deep square leg on the fence, along with sweeper cover. And to add to the drama, Prasidh runs through and does not bowl. Well well...

19.5
4
Prasidh Krishna to David, FOUR, four more! David is taking RCB closer to 170! Short on leg stump and that is not great bowling with no fine leg in place. David gets a bit of bat on it and the ball races away to the fine leg fence!

Big Dave: "Tim David forced to play last over all by himself - I have seen this before (Just before few days)"

19.4
6
Prasidh Krishna to David, SIX, that is a bruising blow, and that has landed ten rows back over long off! Short outside off and with David ready for it, that was always asking for trouble. He sets himself up and forehands it. That is some shot!
19.3
4
Prasidh Krishna to David, FOUR, streaky but guess what, they all count! Banged into the track outside off. David swings like a rusty gate and gets an inside edge that flashes past the stumps and then bounces up past Buttler!
19.2
2
Prasidh Krishna to David, 2 runs, shanked high into the night sky, and it lands safely! Back of a length just outside off. David has an ungainly swipe it and skies it. Sai Kishore calls for it (from mid wicket) but cannot get to it with the ball falling in the mid on region

Prasidh Krishna to David, no run, hard length on middle and leg. Skips off the surface and that rushes David on the pull. He splices it towards deep mid wicket and they opt against the single, despite Bhuvneshwar almost running two by himself. Perhaps the right call

Prasidh to bowl the last over. How far can RCB go?

Mohammed Siraj to David, 1 run, bumper to finish the over. Gets up to the shoulder and David rolls his wrists to pull it towards deep backward square leg. Keeps strike too

Last ball coming up. Surely David looks for a single to be on strike for the start of the 20th?

Mohammed Siraj to David, no run, sharp bumper, pitching outside off and decking back in. David, cramped for room, opts to sway out of the way in the end

Mohammed Siraj to Kumar, 1 wide, full ball sliding down leg. Bhuvneshwar does not get bat on it and the umpire has no qualms in calling it a wide

Bhuvneshwar is the new man in

Andrew: "180 and we have a great chase " -- Not entirely sure, but 180 might just be above-par, at least in my view, given how much help this pitch has offered

Mohammed Siraj to Livingstone, OUT, nicked and gone! Livingstone falls, moments after getting to his fifty! Short, wide and there to be hit. Livingstone throws the kitchen sink at it and only manages a faint tickle through to Buttler. Buttler finally holds onto one, and Siraj, on his return to the Chinnaswamy, has a three-wicket haul!

1
Mohammed Siraj to David, 1 run, full toss on middle and off. David is taken aback a little and shanks it to the left of the pitch. Siraj tears after it, slides and fields it on his follow-through

160 will most likely be breached now. Can RCB power through to 175? Or even 180? Siraj to bowl the 19th

Rashid Khan to Livingstone, SIX, six more - Livingstone is ripping Rashid to shreds! Floated up but right into the slot on off. Livingstone unleashes that sweep and bulldozes it over deep square leg. Brings up his fifty too and this has been a superb knock under pressure!
17.5
6
Rashid Khan to Livingstone, SIX, no one can catch that, apart from those in the crowd! Given a bit of air, on a full length on leg stump. Livingstone drops down to one knee early and mauls it over deep backward square leg!
17.4
1
Rashid Khan to David, 1 run, full outside off. David lunges forward and pokes it into the point region for a single
17.3
1
Rashid Khan to Livingstone, 1 run, darted in full on leg stump. Livingstone tucks it off his toes for a single
17.2
6
Rashid Khan to Livingstone, SIX, bursts through the hands! Low full toss just outside leg. Livingstone brings out the sweep again and tugs it towards deep backward square leg. Sai Kishore leaps into the air but cannot clasp his hands around it. He was well inside the fence too!
17.1
0
Rashid Khan to Livingstone, no run, GT appeal and appeal and appeal, but the umpire is unmoved! GT cannot review either! Googly on a full length on middle and off. Livingstone swipes across the line and gets hit on the abdomen region while being down on one knee. Seemed pretty good but GT can do nothing about it!

Right. Three overs left. Can RCB push towards 160? That could be a very competitive score on this surface. Rashid to bowl out too
