END OF OVER:

  • Shashank Singh44 (16b)
  • Shreyas Iyer97 (42b)
  • Mohammed Siraj4-0-54-0
  • Kagiso Rabada4-0-41-1

Sharath: "Pity for Shreyas. Played throughout but missed century, but excellent batting by Shashank"

Sam: "I feel pretty bad for bowlers on this type of tracks."

Shashank Singh: "Yes, it was a good cameo. But looking at Shreyas, that motivated me even more. Let me be very honest - Shreyas, from ball one, said don't worry about my hundred! Just watching the ball and reacting to it. I try and make sure I get the boundaries. When you go at that number, it's more likely that you'll not get a good hit. I know the shots I can back. I focus on my strengths rather than things which I can't do."

9.14pm Twenty-three runs came off the final over, which had started with Iyer on 97. And yet, not a single of those runs came off Iyer's bat. He had enjoyed some luck out there, with chances getting missed or dropped, but ran out of it when he perhaps needed it the most from a personal point of view. Shashank, who finished on 44* from only 16 deliveries, whacked five boundaries off Siraj in the final over, and took PBKS to 243. It feels so long that young Arya's 47 off 23 balls is forgotten already! Join Shashank for the chase in ten to see where this goes.

Mohammed Siraj to Shashank Singh, FOUR, four more, and 23 off the over!! It's another one of those totals close to 250! PBKS bash 243 off 20 overs, and Shashank ends the innings by ramping this over short third. Another short ball from Siraj, as this pitched outside off and shaped back in to finish over middle. Shashank waited, before flaying it away
