9:21pm So, Mumbai stutter and stumble their way to 144. It may have been a lot worse had Wadhera not produced a solid rear-guard act. Kishan also scratched along for 32, stitching together a vital 53-run partnership with Wadhera in the process. David got a few boundaries towards the end and that has given this score some sort of respectability.

That said, LSG will be pleased with their bowling effort. Mohsin and Stoinis set the tone early in the powerplay. Bishnoi, Naveen and Mayank all chipped in later, and the only dampener for LSG was Mayank walking off injured. Their decision to hold Krunal back seemed perplexing at the start, although with Stoinis bowling three inside the powerplay and Hooda bowling fairly tidily, they were not made to pay for it.

The hosts will fancy their chances of getting this done. However, Mumbai have a certain Jasprit Bumrah who can make full use of the conditions. If those around him come to the party too, we could have an intriguing run-chase on our hands. Join us in a few minutes for the second innings!

Nehal Wadhera: I think it is a good total but we could have gotten more if I was out there in the middle. In the situation we were, 144 is a good score. Our bowlers are pumped up and they will do well. The ball is gripping a bit. When Bishnoi was bowling, I was not expecting the ball to turn but it was spinning. Even when the pacers were bowling cutters, it was gripping. They will have to bat smartly (to get these runs), and we will try to not let that happen. I don't think of these milestones. It is a T20 game and I just want my team to win. Really happy I could chip in with 46 crucial runs. (Chat in the dressing room) We need to win all the remaining games, so we just want to give it our all, and that is the chat that is going on. The guys are really optimistic and let's see what happens.

Mohsin Khan to David, 3 runs, slower bumper outside off. David swings at it with all his might and skews it towards deep mid wicket. Plugs in the outfield and by the time Pooran gets it to Rahul, MI scamper back for three

Over the wicket to finish off
