A stunning heist from Stoinis has brought about a big win for LSG, who are now fourth on the points table. Hemant is working on his report which will be up soon while Deiva's post-match copies should also be in. That will be it from us today. Thanks for tuning in. We will be live nice and early as DC take on GT on Wednesday but till then, this is me Ashish signing off on behalf of Chandan and Raghav. Good night!

Marcus Stoinis is the Player of the Match: [Up early] There are plenty of opening batters in the competition, so I will let them be but I am settled in the middle. [Pacing the innings] It is not just go go go. It was ebb and flow. There were some bowlers we targeted, some against whom we were cautious. Nicky P played a good innings, Hooda also. It ebbed and flowed. From the inside you are always structuring. You are liking some bowlers, not liking others much. [T20 game changing?] I do think it is changing. Some of the scores being scored, and the impact player adds another dimension. It looks dangerous. [T20 WC?] I have got a great relationship with the coach. Me not getting a contract, I knew a while ago., I am absolutely fine with that on the contract front. On the playing front, I want to play. I love this competition, I started my career here.

KL Rahul, the LSG captain: Very special, especially when it is a game like that, Felt like we were way behind the game in the chase. Just to pull off a victory feels special. [Continuation from the previous win?] No, a fresh start. Different conditions. They got off to a good start and put pressure on the bowlers. I didn't think it was a 210 wicket. They batted really well. All credits to Stoinis. He was phenomenal to watch. It was not just power hitting, but was smart batting. [At No. 3] We wanted to be a lot more braver as a team. We had three games, a couple at home, and some away where we couldn't go past 170. We needed one power hitter in the top three. That was the thought process. [Being braver] I have also realised that T20 cricket has changed in the last couple of years. 170-180 does not always cut it. You have to go harder in the powerplay. The Impact player gives you depth and that gives you more freedom. I have not played T20 cricket in a long time. [Pooran up the order] There is no set plan. Apart from the openers everyone is set to go at any point. The last game, Pooran walked in at three. Hope I get the fielder of the tournament award.

Presentation time

VISMAY: "This is why a set batter is worth his weight in gold in the death overs"

Reesav: "Australians silencing Indian crowd again!"

Abby: "Dhoni was right. Take the chase deep and then bowler is in as much pressure as you're.."

Vamsi: "Such a strange game for Deepak Chahar! A brilliant first wicket taking off QDK! But undid all the good by letting go of three boundaries - missed at least 9 runs in the boundary! "

Deepak Hooda: Thoughts were pretty clear, we need 14 runs an over and we were just looking to hit the gaps. [Going after Pathirana and Fizz] I don't have any options, the run rate was like that. These guys were tough to handle but can't do much. [Stoinis] He played like a warrior, he is a kind of motivation to us. 100% we were in the game. The dugout was pretty sure that we have to get the win. These two points make a big difference in our team. We are at the business end of the tournament. It is a good feeling.

Ruturaj Gaikwad: Tough pill to swallow but LSG played a good game at the end. We had the game in hand around the 13th over, but hats off to Stoinis. [Dew] There was a huge part that the dew played. It took the spinners away from the game. We could have taken the game more deeper. But it is a part of the game, you can't control the uncontrollable. [Dube coming in late] Jaddu is batting at No. 4. We we lost the second wicket in the powerplay and he was the one to come at that stage. We have a clear process, that whenever a wicket falls Jaddu is the one to come in. [Score?] Yes, batting first we couldn't have got more than that. I never thought it was enough. It was just about enough with the amount of dew we were having. Credit to them for how they batted.

11.31pm The fortress has been breached. At one stage it seemed to be going CSK's way through and through. But Stoinis had other ideas. He came it at No.3 in the first over and paced his innings to absolute perfection. He now has the highest individual score in an IPL chase, bettering Paul Valthaty's 120* in 2011, also vs CSK. He finishes with 124 off 63 balls with 13 fours and six sixes. There were important stands on the way particularly a 70 run stand off 34 balls with Nicholas Pooran and then an unbeaten 55-run stand off 19 balls with Deepak Hooda. But really it was Stoinis' innings that got LSG over the line. The win takes LSG to 10 points and into the top four of the table.

At 42 years of age plenty doubted MS Dhoni, like they have done for 36-year-old Odisha FC forward Roy Krishna. Like Dhoni however, Krishna just proved that he's still the best at some things, with a superb solo goal giving his side the win against Mohun Bagan in the ISL semifinal.

1lb
Pathirana to Stoinis, 1 leg bye, Huge, huge appeal for lbw but the umpire stays unmoved. Was that sliding down leg? Looks like but CSK have reviewed. It was a pinpoint yorker from Pathirana bang on leg stump. Hits Stoinis flush on the boot. No bat involved. Ah, replays confirm the ball was pitching just outside leg stump. Stoinis survives but that was a top over from Pathirana

W
Pathirana to Pooran, OUT, That goes straight up and Pooran has perished! Pathirana wins the battle yet again. Was in the slot outside off, as Pooran looked to straight down the ground. But he could only slice it and Shardul coming in from long-off takes a comfortable-enough catch

Pathirana to Stoinis, no run, Bouncer to start off and a good one at that around shoulder high. Stoinis looks for a ramp but is late into his shot

Pathirana has two overs, Fizz has two. It is down to these two. Stoinis and Pooran will line up their. Who succeeds? Don't go anywhere. This looks to be going into the last over. There is a ball change, because there is a lot of dew. Pathirana back on.
