RR should be thrilled with how they came back after Moeen put up an exhibition of powerplay hitting. Boult got Ruturaj early but it was Conway's dismissal and the end of the first six overs that brought about a flurry of wickets. Ashwin used the angles and variations in pace and lengths with enviable control. Chahal, as he does, tossed it up bravely and plucked wickets. He kept the runs down too. MS tried to slow down the wickets but was not able to get going. Moeen seemed to lose his touch too. The quick bowlers got the back of length and slower ones spot on. They finished as well as they could. What this ensures is RR's NRR should be over that of RCB. Yuzvendra Chahal 2 for 26: I really like having the purple cap since only a couple of spinners have gotten it. I knew about equalling the most wickets in a season with Imran Tahir because of social media. You have to vary your pace, hard to hit when bowlers find their lengths. While chasing 150, getting a move on in the powerplay is important. When bowling in MS, I backed my strengths.
