Russell needed 12 balls to hit his first six tonight. He then clicked into a higher gear, ending with 49* off 28 balls. The last over from Washington cost SRH 20 runs. Can KKR defend 177 to stay alive? "Good to get a strong finish," Russell tells Star Sports. "The guys were bowling well and the execution was on point, especially the seamers. I was miserable, but if I stay I know we can get 170. Based on the wicket, it looks good and 170 is definitely a good score on this wicket. If we get one or two wickets early in the powerplay, we can definitely peg them back. Hard length, straight and mix up pace as well (right length to bowl?). Some balls are holding up. Vishal will be with you for SRH's chase.
Venky: "Just because Kane has been having a terrible IPL with the bat we overlooked his poor captaincy. Being a SRH supporter, watching every match and every ball, I believe his captaincy doing the team more harm than his batting. I'm not just saying this because he messed up an over today but there have been lot of other stuffs as well like field placement, team selection and all"
Manu Ajmani: "This was such a mature, no-risk and Dhoni-esque finish from the big man! 28 balls faced, 7 of them were boundaries and the rest 11 runs scored in 21 balls. Still ends up with a SR of 175 with a strong finish at the back end!"
