I've gone slow, so the comments have not come in. But trust my tag-team partner, Peter Della Penna, to type like a blitzing warrior on the keyboard.
Joji: "Oh wow Umran Malik 157 KMPH! " I think so, Gaurav Sundararaman suspects so too.
Rovman Powell, 67* (35): I got winded at the end. I asked DW if I should get a single to allow his 100 but he told me, 'that's not how the game is played', and told me to go big. Sometimes, I could not hit it as well as I wanted to, some of the swings were planned. The wicket was good, I planned and shaped up for the full and slower balls and the shots came off towards the end. I chatted with Rishabh about my batting position, I told him to trust me at 5 as my game against spin. I tried to get in for 15 balls and then accelerate in the next 20. The pitch is a very good one and the ball is coming on well but I think we have enough, we need to get wickets at the top and should be able to defend this.
9:18 pm: DC finish with 207, thanks to Warner who carries his bat and Powell, who swung his effectively. They tried to go big from the start, lost a couple of wickets at the top. Bhuvi swung it like a dream. But DC's intent helped take on Umran right from the front. After Pant went after Shreyas Gopal before being dismissed, it was the DW-RP show! Warner picked the gaps and found the boundaries, Rovman cleared the fence for fun. There was some sloppy fielding which offered lives to the batters. The batters capitalized and, towards the end, DW was cheering and celebrating even for Powell's achievements and smacks off the middle. The bowlers tried lots but could not stop the run flow.
