Ashok Kumar: "Is it only me who feels CSK dint push for 12-13 run overs at the end? I feel they are short by 10-15 runs after what they were at 15-16 overs. Hope this is enough for their bowlers."

Gautam C: "Just tuning in from Cincinnati. Did SRH pacers take pace off the ball enough?" No, but the pitch is excellent for batting. Not sure it would have made much of a difference.

-----

Ruturaj Gaikwad: The gameplan was pretty simple. The wicket is slightly on the slower side, so I decided to take some time. I haven't batted with Conway but we have been spending a lot of time together, so the communication was pretty clear. The talk was to get set. I was just trying to be balanced. I was trying to stay in a neutral position. Nothing different with MS as captain. The thought process was to be focused on the process, and not worry about results. I am pretty confident that we would defend it.

9.10pm Super Kings finish with a daunting total despite a slow start. Gaikwad starred with 99 off 57 balls, his assault on Umran Malik being the highlight, while Conway played second fiddle. It wasn't until the death overs that Conway got his timing right. In the end he made up for the slow start and finished on 85* off 55. Sunrisers missed Washington Sundar, who hurt his right hand while making a stop. Williamson used Markram and Shashank as the fifth bowler, who went for 46 from their combined four overs. Ekanth Prakash will be back with the chase soon. Stay tuned.
