So, that's it! Kolkata Knight Riders produce another dominating victory in this second phase of IPL 2021. Their two massive wins have made them big favourites for the top four stage. A reminder of how strong the side is if the inexperienced top order and the spin bowlers come together in unison on the same day. Tomorrow it's a game between the two sides just ahead of KKR. Third-placed RCB vs second-placed CSK. Kohli v Dhoni. And its the first one of the season in Sharjah. Run fest expected then? Catch us tomorrow to find out. Till then, on behalf of Himanshu, Raghav and Thilak this is Sreshth Shah saying goodnight!

Presentation time. Lots of sponsor awards for Iyer, Russell gets rewarded for his bowling too.

Winning captain Eoin Morgan: "Its been a long time since we've played like this. Baz has taken over for almost two seasons, so the way we are playing is now getting into his style. To hold such a strong Mumbai team, and chase it down in the manner we did gives us confidence. We were trying to fit Iyer into the XI with a lot of talented guys, and its fantastic with the manner he has scored runs. We never put a number on him, on how many games he will get. In the practice games he has gone out to play this way. Baz backs him to the hilt. Just a second game for him but played with full confidence. Sunil and Varun are formidable bowlers. Sunil has been integral in winning KKR championships in the past. Varun is a fresh guy. The first two games in this second phase has been a great template for us to play. There's only one way for us to go in the points table, and that's up."

Sunil Narine is the Player of the Match for his 1/20: "Coming off a good amount of cricket in The Hundred and CPL. Getting better and better. Its taken a while for me with this new action, and I've put a lot of work into it. Just want to continue the good work. Getting Rohit out in any type of cricket is good. Its a key wicket against Mumbai. Varun likes to know about the game and asks a lot of questions. He's a quick learner, someone who likes to know about cricket, and has far to go. Flatter pitch than before but not as quick as usual. I think my batting is based on what the team requirement is."

Rahul Tripathi (74 in 42): "Very happy. The coach tells us to be positive and I feel that when you're positive then the extra pressure goes towards the bowlers. It was important to hit the boundaries early. Dug out is very positive."

9.27pm And that's a thumping. KKR win their seventh game in 29 against Mumbai. And the way they have won takes the Knight Riders to fourth, and sending Mumbai Indians out of the top four. The game was set up by Chakravarthy and Narine to stifle Mumbai in the middle overs. And after that, the positive batting from Gill, Iyer and Tripathi meant that KKR's storied middle order had nothing to do. de Kock's 55 seems so far back as Tripathi silently made 74 with Iyer thumping his maiden IPL fifty that deflated Mumbai inside the powerplay. KKR win with 29 balls to spare and an innings run-rate of over 10! Two in two for KKR in the UAE. Zero in two for the defending champs.

Losing captain Rohit Sharma: "Few areas. We started really well but didn't get enough in the back end. Was a good pitch to bat on. Failed to capitalise on the start. We didn't bowl pretty well to start with. We spoke about being on the stumps and let the batters take chances - however that didn't happen. Things like that can happen. The basics of cricket is that you make small partnerships. That stopped us from taking on the bowlers. We've fought well in the past really well, hopefully all of us can pull together. Points table is always there in the back of the mind. Important to know where you stand. I am OK."
